So I thought I'd offer my take on Murphy's PotM (imo) performance on Weds.

She's, clearly, very good with the potential to be world class, even at this early stage. The other day I said I thought she could be Sané-esque and still, truly, believe that.

What I see, at the moment, is her speed is quicker than her brain and she would benefit having decisions made for her on the field. By this I mean a ball put into space she can run on to. That's where Hasegawa comes in. I really think they can develop the type of partnership De Bruyne and Sané had.

Murphy needs to be able to get that practice of composure before shooting and that won't happen if her brain is engaged with trying to beat players as well, at this point.

It took Hemp a while to get that going too, so I have high hopes for Miss Murphy.

Put her in against Barca with Hasegawa pulling the strings and they'll absolutely brick it!!

Taylor just said that Greenwood's injury doesn't appear to be as serious as originally feared

Were going into this game versus Barca without our 4 best players and with them out for revenge. Its a freebie hit for us really.
We ran ourselves into the ground against Poulton to ensure a victory and that cost us a piss poor performance against Everton and the loss of 3 points.
With a sub par side I think its impossible to expect anything but a tanking tonight and finish 2nd in the group and hope we get don't get Lyon or Chelsea. I'm just hoping we don't have to run ourselves to a standstill for nothing and risk more injuries. Thankfully its the last game before the break and the next round isn't until Feb 25 with back to back fixtures against the filth in late January in League and Cup.

I suspect next round it will be Lyon (just have a feeling) its the toughest draw and thats where this years adventure in Europe will end unless we can get our best 11 ready and on the pitch in which case a similar performance to what we gave versus Barca at home (which was exceptional) will be required to progress.

Good news is Alex isnt as bad as feared, Miedema is back in training and hopefully Hempo and Shaw can be ready and firing in time and we'll have a shout.

Up the blues ladies - have a great Xmas break and lets have it in the new Year.
