It's a temporary situation.. Happens to all great clubs..A timely reminder to not take elite success for granted..
I'm sick to death of the players 'making the right noises' after the game... and then absolutely nothing changes in the next gameI don't know if it really is injuries, small squad, or if Pep has 'lost' them because he insists on persisting with tactics that are clearly not working any more. Yet when Gundo and Bernie are interviewed post match they make the right noises. It's all very baffling
Thats bang out of order and you can fuck right off...
Nunes is not at the level we need, no debate about that... but...
He's in there doing his best, often filling in positions that aren't natural.
No player sets out to make a mistake like that.
You can also see it when Kev goes off, it's like the light goes out and then panic sets in. At 85 minutes 1-0 we should be cruising keeping the ball and putting them to sleep but we're just throwing it away.
100%. Walker needs to be benched and Dias made captain immediately. As bad as things are one of the worst things yesterday was the fact that our captain is so seemingly devoid of leadership qualities.
We used to have real leaders. Even when we were pretty poor in terms of football quality or results.
This is another reason why change is needed. A new set of leaders need to emerge.
What is this nonsense?Any chance we can appeal to the FA for retrospective straight red for Nunes for the penalty incident tackle - 3 game ban - then on Jan 1st send him on a 6year loan to Doncaster Rovers and pack Doku in his suitcase with him too?
This is the crucial thing for me.The biggest thing for me is how we just can’t win the ball back quickly like we used to.
Nearly as bad as the over exaggerated importance some attach to their "get behind the team" comments. Most of us do week in, week out. Not made much difference lately.I'm sick to death of the players 'making the right noises' after the game... and then absolutely nothing changes in the next game
stfu and start doing instead of talking about doing it
There's every chance they'll be 2 points behind us after this weekend comingSome rags in the pub offered me bets yesterday that they would finish above us.
I'm starting to think that it could be a reality!!

And much further behind by the end of the season..we will turn it around somehow and regardless of anything they are fucking dire..not even a derby win can paper over thatThere's every chance they'll be 2 points behind us after this weekend coming
The players decide the captaincy and they chose Walker100%. Walker needs to be benched and Dias made captain immediately.

Yesterday, and against Spurs and in a few other games recently, I can hear myself saying "Second balls, City. Second balls!" over and over. Almost all of them are bouncing to opposition players. We're losing 50/50s constantly. It's all coming from Walker, Gundogan, and Bernardo (and, to a lesser extent, De Bruyne) just not having the stamina to chase and fight anymore. Throw an exhausted Gvardiol and Lewis into the equation and I think it's easy to see where the problems are coming from.
We usually beat teams by grinding them down, tiring them out, making sure they're doing all the running and chasing. We get to the ball first, we win it back quickly, we win it back high up the pitch. Sooner or later, the opposition tire out and gaps form, and that's where we strike. But this season we're losing the ball because Walker, Gundogan, and Bernardo have all lost a yard, so too has De Bruyne. It all adds up, hence a knackered Haaland and Foden not pressuring Martinez before Amad's winner last night.
Bet every penny you have on thisSome rags in the pub offered me bets yesterday that they would finish above us.
Yes they are dire, but they managed to beat us in the Cup Final, were a minute away from beating us in the Community Shield Final and beat us yesterday. Frightening. And much further behind by the end of the season..we will turn it around somehow and regardless of anything they are fucking dire..not even a derby win can paper over that
They can change their mindThe players decide the captaincy and they chose Walker
Which would be great for squad unity...They can change their mind
