Howe has spoken about it at length.

How is it a swap, they are getting 50m and two players for Bruno.

Well the mugs paid 20m for a keeper they don't need to then receive 30+ for Anderson from Forest.
You just said Newcastle are paying 100m for Nunes and McAtee. Why would they do that?

My scouting wishlist (A pipe dream but nonetheless)

GK: Diogo Costa, Mads Hermansen
RB: Daniel Munoz, Lutsharel Geertruida, Frimpong
CB: Bastoni, Branthwaite, Murillo, Tapsoba, Illia Zabarnyi
LB: Kerkez, Robinson, Lewis Hall
DM: Zubimendi, Carlos Baleba, Adam Wharton,
CM: Bruno G, Barella, Jack Hinshelwood, Hugo Larsson
AM: Musiala, Wirtz, Xavi Simons, Julio Enciso, Enzo Millot, Palmer (I know, but he is class and bar Musiala and Wirtz, he is the best option)
LW: Nico Williams, Antonio Nusa, Rafael Leao
RW: Rodrygo, Mbeumo, Kudus, Arda Guler
CF: Openda, Sesko, Duran, Marmoush, Jonathan David, Delap, Yoane Wissa

From what I've seen, Newcastle fans seem to be resigned to having to sell either Bruno or Isak, and would much prefer to keep the striker

They're also not entirely convinced he's suited to defensive midfield and is better in a more advanced role

Here's hoping they're talking bollocks about the latter :)
I think this is one geared towards the future as much as dealing with the here and now. He'll sit in midfield with Kovacic this season which will undoubtedly makes us more solid and offer more control than we currently have in there. Then next season he can play more advanced with Rodri.

Don’t see it for me, looks good when passing in behind high defensive lines.

That's because he's often in that situation for his club team. But he's comfortable with the ball, excellent technically and has looked really good for Spain playing off the left in recent appearances. He's a huge talent and his versatility would really help us.
