Punk and New Wave thread.

Really pleased to have found this on YouTube.
Very early 80’s when I was living in the ghost town otherwise known as coventry.
A play was put on at the Belgrade Theatre called Risky City which was just about spot on about what that place was going through back then. The play also had The Wild Boys (a local punk band) performing two songs live at different parts of the play. This tune and another called The Death Of Eddy (a character who was stabbed in the play).
They were selling the cassette single of both songs at the theatre and I bought it. Gave it to a girl I fancied to play sometime later and never got it back!
So good to hear it again.

What a track, never heard this before
As one of the entries in the comments section said..if this track was performed by whoever now it would blow the roof off any venue .

Astonishing raw sound; brilliant .

@BMR...I was possibly wrong about 'Movement' being just as good as anything JD produced

Altho technically this is Warsaw I think.....;)
I went to this.

Already posted this in another thread but may as well do so here. Was never a fan of The Only Ones, though I can appreciate, albeit from something of a distance, that 'Another Girl, Another Planet' is a good song.

That has now changed with this release, so I'll certainly be checking out Perrett's back catalogue.

Rather late in the year I have discovered what may be the best album to be released during it.

Perrett appears to have lived a life as dissolute as, say, other punk icons like Johnny Thunders or Dee Dee Ramone, so it is quite remarkable that he is still with us. And what is even more extraordinary is that he has produced what is possibly his best work (a double) at the age of 72, one that features collaborations with Johnny Marr, Bobby Gillespie, and Carlos O'Connell from Fontaines DC.
