This is why I don’t like it long term. We have our first ever Ballon D’Or winner and our midfield ‘solution’ would be to sign someone to play in his position and move the best player in the world somewhere else? To me that would be madness. Leave Rodri where he is. He scores those goals because from DM he can arrive at the perfect moments, and be on the edge of the box. If his starting position is higher we might actually find he has FEWER chances to score. Zubimendi seems great in the short term, but I want the club to remember that Rodri still exists and we need it to work when he’s back too.
It's why I never thought it likely he'd want to come to us without some assurance of how it would work when Rodri comes back. If he's had or has that conversation though and he's convinced there is opportunity to play together then I'm on board.

When Rodri played with Kovacic last season, it was frequently in a more advanced role.

I don't see why this couldn't be replicated with Zubi Doo

Zubemendi comes in then bin of guimeres interest as he isn't better than what we havein advanced midfield positions and use the money for second stirker and right back that is comfortable covering as a CB

Reijnders is great, having a great season etc.

Would Milan let him go and if so and what price.

Would love him here for sure.
I heard a rumor of £40M, but I’m not sure, especially since they’re trying to get him on a new contract.

There are so many stakeholders in a transfer these days it seems impossible to know where anywhere near the truth is.. Also benefits many to have these transfers become a saga which can then create hours of content..
