He's certainly not the problem, but he's a luxury we can't afford to carry right now. The problem is Pep will never drop him.

Every team and their dogs knows that if they shut out Haaland, City is left with 10 men and will definitely struggle to score from elsewhere too. Yet Pep keeps repeating the same tactic and selecting the same out-of-form striker, getting the same results for months. Unbelievable!

He worked his bollocks off today. Did you not watch the match? He isn’t Aguero and he isn’t Tevez, he relies on service.
I’m getting even fatter these days because every time the goalie gives it out to Akanji or Walker and the snails pace football starts - I’m off to make a cheese toastier and I usually return just as Grealish or Bernardo are on the edge of the box and then passing backwards.

Just a bit of a luxury at the minute. Not affecting games. But then nobody is.

He’s too good not to be, though. Put yourself about. Show a bit of frustration and channel it into being front foot and dominate your marker.

Don’t just stand still and let them dominate you. Again.

He is a winner like the rest and this run is hurting. We can't really catch a break with the injuries to our better players to give us a greater chance of getting the 3 points.

He's been rubbish and yes it's on him

Horrible body language, walking around, not intercepting anything, always on this heels, rubbish first touch, horrible hood up play, terrible finishing, weak in the challenge

Yea he needs more service but he gets big chances every game and is fluffing his lines so it cabt be THAT bad... hes been absolutely rubbish lately

But we don't really have any other options, he's one of the few who's stayed relativley fit

LOL Erling has more hunger in him than the rest of the team combined at the moment.

I mean 90th minute.. first pass to him in the box.. FFS EVEN NUNES TRIES TO FIND HIM MORE OFTEN!!!

Something is seriously wrong here.. it's like they're jealous of him getting goals so they won't play the ball to him. We've all been there.. sometimes you hate a team mate so much you don't wanna pass to him.. never thought it'd happen at City though.. but it is!

And I think Pep is going to have to sell off everyone and get a new team that likes playing with Erling.. instead of being the current bunch who are putting in half ass performances and taking solace in Erling and Pep suffering!

This is nonsense. Haaland is a great striker but not a great fit for the way City play. Not sure what the thinking was.

They have so many games where they just refuse to play it to him centrally. It has to be crossed in after waiting for the defence to get back.

Imagine how insane his numbers would be if he had a David Silva or KDB type fully healthy all season. Or even having 2 fast wingers like Sane and Sterling who could get to the line and square it.

He was a superstar player who was available. It would have been a bad decision to pass up on him. And he's won the golden boot twice in a treble season and a title season so the results speak for themselves.

But you're right, we seem very singular in our attacking focus which was never the case in the false 9 years. And there are games where we don't provide the service to him and the attack falls off a cliff.

I mean it might help if we start providing him with some service. It's just one of the many things we've stopped doing like pressing, passing with movement off the ball etc. The list is bleeding endless at the moment.
