If we cant play him as we need to rest him then this is another sign we need to move him on. We cant rely on a player who is only available a third of the time......
Thing is we should have a squad that can cope with rotating him, not only is the current performance on the pitch down to the woefull squad management but this will also likely bring a premature end to Kevs city career as due to a lack of other options we have to flog him to death when available. If for example we had a young up and coming alternative Kev could easily be part of this squad for a other 2-3 years. Look how Madrid managed Modrics twilight years.

Very disappointing we didn’t bring him on today at 60 mins when we were being completely outplayed. I’m baffled by these decisions in the last few months.

He is still our only player who looks likely to create.

He's done mate. 30 minutes against that Villa midfield would have been 20 minutes too long for him.

Other than dead ball situations, KDB needs to have proper grafters alongside him if he's to have any real impact in games. We haven't got any nowadays.

He's been an absolute dream to watch at City, but he should have gone last summer.

Well if he is done, we are fucked this season.

We need to buy some grafters then because we ain’t scoring goals with the likes of Grealish, Silva, Doku and Savinho loading the gun.

PL is changing, the amount of new, modern managers at lesser clubs is at all time high. other teams wont allow us get away with not working hard, not pressing hard. next 2-3 years in PL is all about hard work, pressing, being press resistant. you can play older players as long as they are fit and work harder than the younger ones otherwise not at all.

I bloody hope all new transfer will be coming along these lines, ability to work their ass off on the pitch, being quick runners, and happy to press rather than pressing being a weakness for them. nothing else will work. we slowed ourselves down last year, became bit comfortble, less running, lot less pressing, but hard work and great form put in by Rodri, Foden, Alvarez took us over the line.. nothing left of that for this season.

His career is done as he can't run anymore ..watch him when he is on the pitch...he is a shadow of his former self

For years it was KDB carrying the rest of the team to honours - now that he's on the physical wane, it's just showing how good he was.
How good he was is utterly irrelevant, the same applies to Walker, Gundo, Stones and Bernardo, great football teams don't live on what was great.

Far too loyal and it's come back to haunt us and I will repeat, this could get far worse than we are presently seeing.

It's not a loyalty issue I'm highlighting, just that alot of these players hid behind the genuine game changers like KDB and now the roles have reversed, they're showing they're not up to scratch.

Do not accept your idea that the other players " hid behind the game changers " as they were all a legitimate part of the integral team when KDB and others were at the height of their fitness and ability.

You do the " ones who hid " a terrible and totally unjustified disservice with that comment.

KDB is a fantastic and amazing player but injury and time have now reduced the impact which he is able to make, which is understandable.

The players who as a collective, were a team to behold and admire , so please do not throw unjustified criticisms at players who through the passage of time/injury/fitness issues are no longer able to reproduce those abilities.

I’m sure his physical condition meant he could only have been brought on in an emergency. Otherwise best to give him a few days desperately needed rest.

As it was, the points were lost with or without him.

The greatest ever to put ManCity jersey on. Thank you for everything.

"players hid behind the genuine game changers like KDB"

Insulting comment to me.

KDB wonderful player but he has missed a lot of football over the last 4 seasons and his teammates came to the fore.

Pep's City is a team, all about the team.
