Must be all comps. Just checked his stats on Wiki, and in the 18/19 season (39, according to that table), he played...

PL 24
FA Cup 5
CC 3
CL 6
Other (CS?) 1

Thanks. Makes quite a difference in terms of % games played.

Just looking at that one season’s stats, he was unused 15 times and subbed on or off 13 times. It doesn’t show the reasons or minutes but food for thought there.

Yep; only 11 full 90 minute+ games. He's been fragile for a long time now. It's a crying shame as, when he was 100% fit, he was a wonderful player. Remember the run in during the treble season, when he was playing in midfield? It's like he was born to play there.

Plus, he comes across as a really nice bloke. Which is strange, considering where he's from.

;-)

Another predictable post from yourself.

John has influence around the club. Thats why he has been there as long as Pep has. Only KDB has been around longer.

I have no fucking time for that kind of garbage.
Then don't read and don't waste your time replying....John Stones as good a footballer as he is.... genuine rolls Royce defender.....isn't anywhere near the leadership levels of VK...if you think otherwise you know nothing

Et tu Brute? :-(

Yes; me as well. Tell me I'm wrong. I didn't say what I said with the intention of hurting you; I understand you may have a soft spot for JS. But the club will have difficult decisions to make, not just about him.

Actually, it's probably not even necessary to discuss it. I honestly don't see which club would come in for him at present, with the injury record he has.
Very sad. Rolls-Royce of a player. When he's fit. You know, in the end, this happened with Vinny. The injuries were just becoming absurd.

With his age and injury record, just makes sense to keep him for his character in the dressing room. If we do end up getting a suitable offer, it would make sense for him to go to keep his England aspirations alive.

I know and understand all you, and others, say but it is the season of goodwill and I was hoping I could relax until January 6th. :-)

I am not daft, whatever people think of me. I had to accept it when my all time hero Dunnie Monster left. I had to accept it when Vinnie went, another of my heroes.
Yes they get older like us all and they have to move on but let me enjoy Christmas!! :-) ;-)
*sad smile*

Doesn’t make financial sense at £15m pa wages. Playing Wallace & Gromitt in the dressing room would be a lot cheaper.

Any news of John Boy? Has he started training again yet?
Will he have a better 2025 than 2024?

Am I leaving myself open to abuse? :-)
Reis and Khusanoz are seriously going to put the pressure on Johnny, he needs to get fit and quickly or be moved on, sadly I think it will be the latter.
