Easy to blame when he has a striker up front who isn’t giving effort to the cause, a winger in Doku who is more suited to soccer aid than the etihad and a midfield and defence behind him which are taking 30 touches to control the ball before passing! Easy to turn Foden into the Rashford scapegoat of city but the problems lie much further than his performances!

Really truly disappointing. Keep waiting for him to step up and take games by the scruff of the neck, yet week in week out he just goes hiding, so poor.

Started well but melted away after the first half hour. Very disappointing again.

Was easily the best player on the pitch in the first half - could have had 3 or 4 assists.

2nd half vanished as did the whole team tbf after Haalands pen miss

Said it in the last game. Unless his shooting is on form then he’s anonymous for the most part.

Not a Kev successor. Not a Merlin successor. Just a very good player and a nice one to have in your team than not.

But doesn’t particularly offer anything cut throat in most games.

Still, he will be - and should be - a mainstay in the team for the next 10 years.

His attitude after each missed chance was poor for me. I get the frustration but it was almost tantrum like when Bernardo missed and Savinho lost the ball. I don’t remember the likes of Silva (David) reacting that way to him when he was learning and making mistakes.

He's had a poor season when it should be his moment to make the team his. Hopefully he bounces back and finds his form soon as we need him badly.

Last season he produced so many game winning moments. This season he rarely looks dangerous and has, without doubt, underperformed. People talk about Phil being world class...sad to say but he certainly hasn't shown anywhere near that level this season.

I don’t know what the fuck has happened to him since the end of last season but he has got hell of a lot to learn if he ever wants to get anywhere near kevs standards

Did fine first half, drifted out of it in the second.
Nowhere near his best, should be doing more. But made much harder by us becoming fairly useless at moving the ball forward quickly through the lines.

You can say that about virtually every player we have.

If we had a player of the first half of the season competition who would the contenders be?

I'd probably vote Dias and he's missed a 3rd of the games injured.
