I think their logic is so they can let fans know the ticket hasn't sold and give them chance to get to the match.Why take them off sale, unless it's to give them to club employees. Plenty of fans live within 3 hours of the ground.

I don’t think it was that bad today. Similar to the Forest turnout I reckon. Where there were empties, a lot of them would have already been paid for.You need to ask?
It’s a shame there were so many empty seats today. .
Maybe cheaper match tickets, not £83, downwards, might have filled those empty seats today?
We sold our house in Altrincham a couple of years ago, the majority of viewings were people from HK we even had a few come and walk round on video calls to people back in HK.Most can be seen in Alty!
Pissed off today when I noted the seat 2 away from me was empty.
The seat I have as a F/G but messed up buying it in the window only to be told when I phoned, it had been sold.
Despite numerous emails and attempts to speak with them without success I had to bite the bullet and buy another for £40.
I'm normally very supportive of the Club but this episode pissed me off the other week and I was reminded of it again today.

That might depend on where you sit in the stadium? I sit in CBL3 near the North Stand, there were lots of empty seats up in South Stand L3.
I sit on the CBL3 nearer to to the south stand, maybe it was the angle and I couldn't see properly
There were. Clearly seen on MOTD in most sections. Contrast that with the rest of the league.i didn't think there were many empty seats today if I'm honest
What the club are doing in terms of pricing and making it so difficult for casual fans to purchase tickets is short term thinking and not in the clubs long term best interest imo!!

The attendance policy allows transfer or exchange listing. I think this 100 percent needs reviewing. Those 3k tickets.
