Seat Counters - 2024/25

Interesting, I wonder if it's the same with other clubs. Most of the away fans in 228 are generally well behaved so that would suggest maybe it is the same with other clubs.

Do these 200 seats count as part of the 5% of the capacity teams are required to give to away fans?
I don't think they do. I think it's in addition. I've never forfotten that seat. It was the most expensive shit seat I've ever sat in. Front fucking row and they call it "Cat A".

Another sticky post is needed for this.

Every champions League game the host club has to give 200 "Cat A" tickets to the opposition. That's what these were.
Doesn’t explain dozens of them in CBL3 though, now I get that they’ll be plenty of Czech fans who are now living around Manchester but it’s something that needs looking into.

Unusually I didn't see any 'away fans' in 201 last night - but often I do on CL nights - and of course it absoltely depends on the type of fan and our relationship with the European club. I don't think we have any/much previous with Sparta. If they 'behave themselves' and understand they're in a Home block then I have no issue - its when you get numpties and stewards (also often numpties) have to move in and extract people (for their own safety) when it gets to be a problem.

Those are in Block 228 of the Colin Bell Stand.

The seats Franny 1234 is talking about are 93:20 seats. Any Sparta fans in there will have likely come through 3rd party hospitality sites such as P1Travel etc.

The club are outsourcing a number of hospitality and hospitality lite tickets to these 3rd parties and unfortunately a few away fans, or maybe Czech's who live here, are able get hold of these without the need for a supporter number/record.
I did not know this until the CL match with Inter, someone clarified it to me here.

I have to say that yesterday Czech fans were very well behaved - I did not realise they were Czech until half time! In addition, I saw a couple of attendants from their side (or were City staff?) making sure things were alright.

Felt like a much better experience than with Inter, when I found it quite annoying to see their scarves and shirts in prime seats!

Surely it would make sense to segregate thoughs blocks off with stewards on CL nights then to prevent it kicking off

Always find it interesting that us fans never have access to these tickets for our European away games.

Not that I'd want to sit in the home end, but I wonder how they allocate these tickets

Presumably because I once enquired about hospitality, I’ve been on the mailing list ever since. These tickets are always part of the package they offer for Euro aways.

I’ve never taken them up on their kind offer but pretty sure that having the required points or even been a ST holder isn’t a requirement.
