I feel for the lad. He'll be one of those 'what if' players down the line as he's never really had much of a chance to shine for us. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up.
The big question then is why Pep was so keen to keep him in the squad. He was shite for Sheff U. Scored one in 10 and was dropped a lot.
Somehow he’s going to be a player in our side? Give over.
When did he last win a game for anyone?
Agreed. With hindsight, it does seem odd.The big question then is why Pep was so keen to keep him in the squad.
This guy came on against Feyenord when we were 3 nil up and we ended up drawing that game. That was a great opportunity for him to lock that place down but he blew it.He was shite for Sheff U. Scored one in 10 and was dropped a lot.

No we don’t. What a shallow comment. We’re proffering opinions on a football forum.Somehow, some fans on Bluemoon thinks they are better than Pep just because we are having a bad season.
We were leading against rags too. This guy came on against Feyenord when we were 3 nil up and we ended up drawing that game. That was a great opportunity for him to lock that place down but he blew it.

Yep Joško Gvardiol and Edderson suddenly lost their minds and of course McAtee was responsible for them! This guy came on against Feyenord when we were 3 nil up and we ended up drawing that game. That was a great opportunity for him to lock that place down but he blew it.

All it will take for McAtee to get his chance is the back of Pep.We were leading against rags too.
We were leading against Everton too.
We have dropped points left right centre. Yes McAtee was responsible for all of it.
If one game is all it takes to drop a player then god bless.
He blew it? FFS...This guy came on against Feyenord when we were 3 nil up and we ended up drawing that game. That was a great opportunity for him to lock that place down but he blew it.

Rewatch how Pep was in his interview post match. It was like he’d seen a ghost. He was spooked beyond belief. That will have scarred him and hence why I believe McAtee is done here.He blew it? FFS...
Don’t blame him one bit for wanting to leave. He’s been mistreated by Pep, which is something some people don’t want to hear.
If you’re him you’ve got to be thinking, fuck this place I’m off.
If he does leave I wish him all the success in the world.
Anyone who thinks Guardiola has given this lad an opportunity and treated him fairly is living in cloud cuckoo land.
Pep is brilliant at many things but his management of Palmer and now McAtee has been little short of a disgrace.
You are full of anger and your posts are a bit unhinged, I think you need to step away from the internet for a bit.LOL
Palmer got tons of chances.. maybe not as many as he hoped but he got chances. His own injuries and lack of versatility got in the way.
There's 2 ways to get into a Pep team.. either be the best in the world at your position or be versatile enough to play multiple positions.
Cole is a 1 position player and there were better players ahead of him while he was here!

What an absolute shit take...He was shite for Sheff U. Scored one in 10 and was dropped a lot.

So are we saying Pep has become a weak minded marshmallow who can't tell the difference between someone fucking up a match and someone being a victim of circumstance. If watching Walker, Gundo and some others recently hasn't scarred him not much will.Rewatch how Pep was in his interview post match. It was like he’d seen a ghost. He was spooked beyond belief. That will have scarred him and hence why I believe McAtee is done here.
lol ok.What an absolute shit take...

Pep has treated McAtee like a complete POS IMO. No amount of "Pep is never wrong" BS is going to change my opinion...

I have to caveat that I loved watching McAtee in the youth teams. He was special and ran games. I thought he was going to the top, but you never know how players adapt to the men’s version.I remember that.. infact everyone was saying we're worried Pep is losing it.. he's hurting himself with that scratched up nose and marks on his scalp.
But when a door closes for 1 player.. it means it opens for another one down the line.. someone else will benefit here long term.. & we'll know who & why that player got that opportunity!
