1. deals line up or 80% done and just paperwork, last few bits, medical outstanding, and 2-3 new faces turn up first week of January but deffo in time for the Brentford away game (14th of Jan) which is a serious test for us.

2. we just start looking into some transfers and we are still waiting last 2-3 days of January around 28th and 29th of Jan if it can be made and then J. Gaughn fed some info that too little time left now to do any major moves but we will have serious warchest for the summer. (like this summer after brutal income and total spend of zero on Gundo and 21m on Savinho + some bonuses)

In fairness, Bony was ostensibly more suited to Pellegrini's style and I was ome of the few who thought it was a no-brainer. Completely wrong

Also didn't he get malaria around the time we signed him or just after?

Kolo was never the same after it and bony was pretty prolific for Swansea. I've always given him a bit of a pass for that.

Yeah fair point. Honestly thought he would be a machine for us. Regardless, Dzeko should have stayed - what a player

What a window that was. Bianchi flopped, and Geovanni wasn't fancied but went on to prove he was a good PL player for Hull. Bojinov is all speculation but I still think of he remained fit he would have been mustard. Career never recovered after his injuries with us. Garrido were allright. But Elano, Corluka and Petrov completely transformed us.

I sometimes do wonder what we would have looked like if Sven stuck around long enough to be tasked with the investment in the squad after the takeover.

Then again Zabaleta and Kompany in 2008 were very Sven like signings

Haapala was on trial and stuck around until the end of the year I seem to remember.

Think Riera went to Liverpool and were decent for them a couple of seasons later after looking very average for us. Only on loan
