PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

“Retailate”? Interesting choice of word from City. Imo it either means

1. We’re going to appeal (although whether that would be described as “retaliating” I’m not sure).

2. We’ve battered them and are now going to buy all the players this nonsense has prevented us from buying and are going on another trophy winning rampage as “retaliation”.

What’s everyone’s thoughts?
For me it’s not the retaliate. The journalist can add that for drama.

But if the club has said the 115 charges aren’t an issue that would lead me to believing that we’ve annihilated them at the hearing.

Could also just be trying to get a positive narrative out to reassure potential signings. But they can do that in private I guess.

Let’s hope we’ve battered them.

Or just retaliate on the pitch regardless of 115

Think I saw the interview with Ornstein this comes from and although he didn't appear to use the word 'retaliate', the clip itself was oddly edited when he began to talk about the charges. Maybe somebody's got an un-edited version...

If City manages to win this case. They should not buy players from PL clubs. Just boycott them and buy from abroad. Better players and even less expensive.

Especially given Wordsworth's canon contains such gems as 'The Thorn', with its immortal lines describing a nearby pond, 'I've measured it from side to side./ It's three feet long and two feet wide'..
I bet it wasn't though and its true measurements didn't rhyme.
