PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Payback is coming guys sit tight watching wanker Masters on this podcast highlights this even further . . .
Masters was asked to describe a typical day as ceo of the cartel. Rim jobs all day -:)

Behind and centre to this discussion is the big blue shiny elephant in the room. It’s even got our ribbons on it. Lol

Awkward…

Just to add to the optimism, a mate forwarded me an article from The Athletic the other day which for once could be described as a very positive piece. Nothing insightful regarding the case itself but more in the "soft signal" category. It was about our proposed transfer activity this month and that we're prepared to go big now rather than wait until the summer to start the rebuild. Of course, there were the usual caveats about how it can be more difficult to complete big money transfers in January than they are in the summer but the overriding implication was that if the right players come along this window then we will be definitely going for them. There was also a nod to our very healthy PSR position as well. I don't know who penned the article but it wasn't written like an opinion piece and was more written from the angle that the journalist - I don't know who the journo was but it could be Sam Lee I suppose - had been briefed by the club. Obviously, it could be made up bollocks but it didn't come across like that.

He didn’t name us as a club. Just their current champions, seems to happen a lot.

It was like a QVC infomercial, fucking pathetic.

This soft signal stuff is getting people carried away.

There is no evidence either way. We are as likely to get found guilty with a relegation than to be clearer, possibly more likely. You're setting yourselves up for a massive fall.

Stefan gave a very vague piece of information which he constantly qualified as something that isn't indicative of much at all, and now the rest of you are reading articles like they're tea leaves. It has to stop before you all turn into scousers.

You'll have to scroll through add after add to read the full article, if you can be arsed?

I can't even imagine trying to read the MEN without an Ad blocker of some description. I use Surfshark VPN which includes their own version called Cleanweb which reduces the MEN to just the article itself plus the comments, can't recommend it enough.

No chance.

Its ok to stay positive.

IMO it’s always been a load of crap.

It would seem that's at least a significant part of their case.

In my opinion there's now a traceable path from CAS, who said that if the Abu Dhabi sponsors were related parties then we're potentially open to the charge of misreporting this in our accounts, to the APT case, where the cartel clubs also had the view that we had misreported this (maybe based on the CAS report), to the PL charges, which specifically mention related parties.

That seems to me to be the line of attack, in the absence of any other information regarding the sponsorships. But I don't believe it'll be a productive one. A bit like trying to stop a Traore with a rolled-up Eric Garcia.

What makes you think that? Have you had a soft signal or something? ;)

I think they are exactly what I said they were - evidence and information that is inconsistent with a worst case outcome. Personally do not agree they are all nothing - a £400m stadium expenditure, a clean audit in December (when not required until March) and a few other things are exactly what people should take them for, not conclusive but not nothing either. Masters giving an interview wouldn’t be at that level if that’s what you mean.
