Is this true?

That’s what United did for years after Fergie left and it’s left them in tatters. Better off building something sustainable or we end up in a constant cycle of having to replace aging players.
 
If he can join in the winter then yes

Need to look for someone younger in the summer
 
Kimmich would be a better, faster, more competent, greater utility, version of Gundo 2022…and for dirt cheap!

Give him a 30 month contract and let him have one last payday when he’s in his early 30s, by allowing him to either run it down or get another good 2 yr deal depending on his performances.

He can play across the backline, including full back, and step into any type of defensive/hybrid midfield role needed. He could be our version of Barca’s Mascherano or simply a more competent step forward CB than any we currently have. He could also be an excellent LCB in a back three.

I can see no feasible reason not to plunk low 8 figures on a Kimmich bid. He’s a proven performer under Pep and Pep loves him!

I’d say they were signing players that were one contract past Kimmich is now. For instance say he signs a 3 year extension at Munich and then we got him after that. That’s the sort of signing the rags did.

Or they’d throw money at players that just didn’t work out in this league.

Personally I don’t think this is comparable.

Knows peps football. A leader and bags of experience.

Why wouldn’t we, he’s 29.

Ok will want big money but we will have players leaving who are on big contracts and he deserves it. I’m a Grealish fan but he’s on 300 here, just give Kimmich the money,

Bayern have told Joshua Kimmich they want a clear tendency from him in January, on whether he’s leaning towards extending his contract or leaving the club. Barcelona and Manchester Cityremain interested in a free transfer in the summer. Kimmich is still undecided and is using the winter break to think about his future [@Plettigoal]
 
Bayern won't let either Davies or Kimmich go now. They are comfortable in losing them for free. Kimmich would have been ideal last summer but not now. We do need a mix of younger players.
