Vic Gomersall was born in Manchester. I recall him from City reserves. He did make 39 appearances for the first team.Sad news, remember as a kid we had 2 Welsh left backs,Vic Gomersall and Cliff Sear.
Brilliant at Huddersfield in that 3-0 win yet we didn't keep him. Madness.Name a player that you’d completely forgotten played for us at some stage.
Peter Beardsley is one for me !!
His funeral was about 3 weeks ago in Swansea. Sportsmen and fans from all different sports and variety of ages out for it. Top bloke round hereVic Gomersall was born in Manchester. I recall him from City reserves. He did make 39 appearances for the first team.
After he left City he played for Swansea for five seasons and finished his career in Welsh football.
I am not sure that made him Welsh?
Talking of Mancini ..he signed a lad from Italy for us centre mid surname Pizzaro ? Only on loan I thinkAn Isreali, Nir Bitton, played on trial for us and was going to sign during Mancini's reign but fell through due to work permit issues. We even spelled his name wrong on the shirt.

I was at that game, don't remember anything about the match at all!I was once at Twerton Park in Bath, for a City mid week, League Cup/ Milk Cup game against Bristol Rovers, with the wife, now ex., I think it was her last City game :0)
A very poor game, I think, it was nil nil at Full time, in Extra time, City introduced a sub who I never heard of play for us after this game, even though I think we won the game, 2 -1 in Extra time, with out penalties???
I could be wrong, they was a loud wining noise in my left ear !!!
Gary FLIPFLOP??
LOL
Even made the ex. smile :0)
As most who were there will attest to, his introduction v Sunderland in 2012 swung the match and got us a late and crucial point in the title race.Talking of Mancini ..he signed a lad from Italy for us centre mid surname Pizzaro ? Only on loan I think
Very tidy neat Italian, didn't stay long and don't think he was too popular but I liked watching him play ,very stylish.
