Liam Delap

They'll be a lot of clubs interested in delap we have a buyback and a sell on of 25% I'd buy him back but doubt the club will so reckon he will go for around 60m so making us 20m+ plus
Sell on is 20%

So £20 mil when we sold him plus circa £10/12 from a sell on would see us total around £30+ mil in profit

Buy him back for £30 mil means were £10 mil down (from original £20 mil sale), then if we sell for £50 mil we’d be £40 mil in the black. Sell for £60 mil we’d be £50 mil up

Buying a player for 30 to sell for 50 does not make us 40 in the black

I’d you could buy something for half of what you could immediately sell it for you wouldn’t do it?
Depends how much we/him hate Ipswich. Dont see a scenario where he screws them out of the money if he is getting a move next summer.

Edit: its football and stranger things have happened but id be stunned.

He'll never get that kind of freedom he does at Ipswich here because we get 2-3 CB's on our strikers. So he's probably Kane's replacement at Bayern in a year or two.

To be fair, he’s not scared of putting himself about. Dias found that out the hard way when they came to our place earlier this season.

Wonder when the buy back clause ends?

Can you buy and sell a player in the same window still? Looks like you can't buy and then loan out a player to another PL club in the same window. Whether he would come back for 6 months to play backup to Haaland would be an issue.

Can’t believe people actually believe Liam Delap has the quality required to get our season back on track. There’s a lot of blue tinted goggles being worn because he’s from the academy.

I'm not advocating a move for him, but we need a backup for Haaland. To see what an injury to Erling would do to our season, we only have to look at the Rodri situation.

He warned about burnout & fearing for his health, but we didn't take those warnings seriously enough when it mattered, after it was clearly obvious Kalvin Philips wasn't going to be our solution.

This Rodri situation is all on City. We didn't take the injury or burnout risk seriously enough, & now look what's transpired...

Yes, but it's exactly the same problem with Rodri and Haaland, to get a player good enough to play when they aren't available, but also good enough and versatile enough to play with them when they are available.
In the case of Haaland from what others are saying Marmoush sounds like he could be that. I wouldn't know never seen him play.
