I don't think the Tarquins are bad - far from it, but they're certainly not as good as their fans would have you believe.
They are very much in the dipper mould of 'why-is-it-always-us'? When they hit the post (I think it was in the first half)
you could almost hear every gunners fan in the stadium crying, bemoaning how bad luck always seems to follow them around. As if they and the dippers are the only clubs to suffer the slings and arrows of modern football.

Last night it was as if they were waiting for some divine intervention to suddenly appear to help them beat the Geordies, but it never arrived and their fans -suitably exasperated- all got up and walked out.

The whole team ethos is they feel they shouldn't have to work for success, it should be delivered on a silver platter to them because they are a big name in the sport. As I say, like the dippers.

And the Rags.
Two cheeks of the same arse with an arsehole in the middle.
Entitled fans who think they have a divine right to win everything and can't handle it when someone else is winning and they aren't.

It’s almost as if they don’t realise that’s what the goalposts are for.

Arteta with another head loss!

Arsenal are really fucking themselves over here. He needs to win something but he's going to burn the side out. The League Cup is the lowest priority. They've got the rags in the cup on the weekend, then Spuds in the league. They've still got the CL and league games to fight for. But he just doesn't rotate the team anywhere near enough to challenge on all fronts.

Woolwich Arsenal Football Club Limited.....is a big name.

Arse....is a small name & club.

Specialists in failure.....is quite a big name and an accurate one !!

A semi final of the league cup was a priority if they actually want to win something .............they aint winning the league they will find it hard to win either the CL and FA cup if your lot are making both competitions there priority now.
He did right going in strong last night even though it backfired

They really are trying to out scouse the scousers this season especially with the feeling sorry for themselves and excuses.

Arsenal have gone backwards in the last 12 months. Constantly lumping the ball into the box doesn't win you trophies. You can only get so far with wrestling at set pieces and feigning injury. Rice has not improved their midfield. He has made them more predictable and less creative. The fact that Zinchenko and Jesus are still there confirms they have not progressed to a truly elite level. This will eventually sink in with their fanbase.

No smart person in the room didn't ask did you only have this new ball today at the game? Or say so you not been training with it all week? These people think fans a thick

Obviously Newcastle must have cheated and got to train with the ball earlier in the week, it can be the ONLY plausible answer to his complaint :)

To be fair though I think it is stupid that a standardised ball is not used for all events. I have always thought it is also ridiculous that the pitch size is not fully standard either. It seems like a throwback to Victorian times. Does it happen in other professional sports?

cricket pitch outfields are not all the same size - up until 2005 the country cricket ground at Canterbury had a tree inside the boundary ropes

The balls are different to be completely fair, noticeably so, all players will tell you this but that's why you train with them in the build up to the game to familiarise yourself with them, to bring it up as an excuse is pathetic. Did the ball magically change into the premier league ball everytime newcastle touched it?

Just seen this great quote from an arsenal fan
What Areteta is dealing with at the moment is a lot of injuries
Arsenals lengthy injury list;
Saka.
Ben white.
End of lengthy list.
