PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Ive said this before but jordan is bitter because he is on the outside looking in, in his head he should be sat at the table doing deals with sheikhs and successful businessman but he isnt, he is on a crappy radio station pretending to be the most intelligent guy in the room for peanuts and having the likes of eddie hearne laugh at him and stefan gently mock him and because of that he hates us and everyone that is like us, he isnt where he thinks he should be and it eats away at him every day.
Superbly accurate.

You definitely don’t speak for me or any other City fans I know, whether you like it or not.

The rules were put in place because of us, not to protect football, but to keep things as they were. So it taints fuck all as the rules themselves are what should be illegal as they have nothing to do with football governance, but everything to do with keeping the what was prior to them status quo.

Couldn’t give a fuck what other clubs spend or don’t spend.
That’s not strictly true. Nobody has ever been allowed to commit criminal fraud in football. It’s always been against the law, never mind against football rules in the last 15 years.

A lot of these charges are not simple FFP/PSR issues. If we’re found guilty of the certain accusations as part of the charges, criminal proceedings may follow because it will have been criminal fraud that’s taken place, and not just for people at City.

Reach PLC is basically a mouthpiece for the 3 Red Cartel clubs.

Reach plc (known as Trinity Mirrorbetween 1999 and 2018) is a British newspaper, magazine and digitalpublisher. It is one of the UK's biggest newspaper groups, publishing 240 regional papers in addition to the national Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, The Sunday People, Daily Express, Sunday Express, Daily Star, etc.
No monopoly on the 'truth' there then.

and as i have always said when i see the police or HMRC knocking at the door then ill be worried, but weirdly there hasnt been any idea of that happening, false accounting is a criminal offence and that is what we are being accused of.

If we are genuinely found guilty, I'll be extemely disappointed in the club. I've always felt the club was operated correctly.

Did we use money to get to where we are? Yes, it played a big part but also because the club had made good decisions with that money. If we find out we broke so many rules along the way, that would be shameful.

Let's be honest, if this was United, we would be tearing into them non-stop. So we can't really expect to be call anything other than cheaters if we are guilty, because we would do exactly the same, let's not pretend otherwise

Not sure how I'll feel about supporting any longer if it emerges we won that we did while not playing by the rules.
What on earth makes you think if this was united? There's no way that United, lfc, Arsenal, the crown jewels of a global multi-billion pound business, that bring in the vast majority of global and home fans.. are ever going to be charged in the same way we have, Leicester have, Chelsea, Forest, Everton, etc have. That never happens in any bsuiness unless pressure builds up so much, pressure usually from the media....

Yep I listened. Stefan just mentioned that he thought City were positive and Jordan appeared to indicate he had heard the opposite and likely appeals.
You mean someone on talkshite took a contrary opinion in order to appease their listeners and boost their calls, doesnt sound like them at all does it.

Football is a very small community, he is a mate of Levy , so will have all the access to the latest gossip if there is any.
I very much doubt Levy will know anything. He's probably just as much of a city hating mardarse as Jordan is. Football is a very small community you're right and it seems it consists of the red cartel and the nonce Levy.
If we was in the shit then every tabloid would be shouting it from the rooftops. As there is nothing I'd say the ball is in our court.

But is it “cheating”?? Creative accounting is a practice used the world over by self employed to mega corporations?

thats where the misunderstanding is, creative accounting is used across the world but it is still all there in black and white no matter how morally ambiguous it may be, the pl are accusing us of submitting false accounts which is a different thing altogether.

It might also work in our favour where there has not been criminal fraud seen to have taken place, it may time bar a lot of the other charges from the earlier timeframe.

Are all these local newspapers owned by the same group? Very similar headlines in (I think) the Birmingham Mail and the Liverpool Echo. The only thing materially different are the names of the clubs!

Yes.

So is the MEN.

This is why they all publish the same generic syndicated articles.

Independent local newspapers don’t really exist anymore.

Fair enough, i really don’t have enough knowledge on finance. But is city paying Mancini and him also drawing a salary off another ‘related’ company to city not creative accounting?? (Related as in part of the sheikhs portfolio)

I find it worrying just how far and wide their reach is (no pun intended).

Reach plc (known as Trinity Mirror between 1999 and 2018) is a British newspaper, magazine and digital publisher. It is one of the UK's biggest newspaper groups, publishing 240 regional papers in addition to the national Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, The Sunday People, Daily Express, Sunday Express, Daily Star, Daily Star Sunday as well as the Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail and the magazine OK! Since purchasing Local World, it has gained 83 print publications.

well the assumption there is that we were paying him twice and that his consultancy role with abu dhabi was a sham, in which case the accounts we submitted would not be accurate and therefore would be false accounting.
