Without Haaland. We’d be in major trouble. Our second highest goal scorer is Kovacic in the prem on 4 or 5 goals. Haaland is the main goal scorer without him we have no threat.

We don’t have goals around the team anymore. Rodri and Haaland are our most important players. Plus Marmoush is not a striker he’s an attacking midfielder , winger and striker. He can play anywhere in attack.

He will take Kev and Phil’s role. He plays the exact through balls Haaland would love. Kev and Phil have fallen off a cliff form wise.

Who said "rather than"? Buying a CDM or a replacement for Julian aren't mutually exclusive. Both are as important as each other. We're just fortunate the situation regarding Erling & injuries hasn't yet bitten us on the arse, & made our situation extensively worse.

We're getting insurance cover for Haaland, whilst at the sane time exploring options for Rodri. Neither are linked. Both should have been addressed last summer. Thankfully We're being proactive regarding Haaland, instead of being retrospective & reactive as in the case Rodri.

Big lesson learned, & hopefully not to be repeated.

And Gundogan was one of the top scorers before he went away, now he has not scored despite being one of the top played, what happens when Bobb and Echeverri come into the squad, because like it or not, this lad is an AM not a striker
 
I’ve been thinking it so I’ll say it , he’s the Kev replacement. Looking at his assists he’s got an eye for a pass drives similar to Kev not the same passing range but plays the same position. Floats in the attack from the middle to wing. He’s scores goals but also provides a good number of assists. I think Pep will play him behind Haaland in the role Kev normally has.

And i say get the DM position sorted and we can cope with the striker getting injured, and since we are currently outside the CL spots despite having a striker, i would say it is the opposite way round. Now if we get a DM or 2 on the cheap that can do the job, great buy a striker, but this lad is not a striker.

If you think our board are sitting around a table going 'we can only buy one player this month lads, now I know we need a DM but I think we should get this forward instead' then I don't know what to tell you.

No i think our director of football will be sat around a table, with his team, saying we need the maximum impact from the fewest players with the least fees and wages, so we can have a major overhaul in the summer.

Still think, assuming the 115 goes away, that we will be looking for Musiala or Wirtz to replace Kev in the summer.
 
If anything this saga has been ultimate proof that a lot of self-proclaimed ITKs know fuck all. I'm not on about journalists, I'm on about your professional Twitter users who seem to get off on drip-feeding information they don't have, based on posts and articles made by other people.

Who out of the usual suspects was mentioning Marmoush, Khusanov, etc. before last week? Absolutely none of them. Never mind a month ago. Now it's all cryptic Egyptian flag emojis on Twitter and "my sources tell me", this and that. A load of nonsense but I guess you have to commend their cunning.
