Remember when he turned up at the 2002 Commonwealth Games? Most people reading this will remember but I’ll explain for those who don’t.

I was raging at that. Hijacked it and turned up looking like Ric Flair, just to make it all about him.

Why tf was he even given a central role in an athletics competition anyway?

Hundreds of current and former competitors at the event they could have chosen and they let him lap up the attention.

Was he a no-one from nowhere who ended up at the biggest club in the world at the time?

Did he win everything with them, represent his country, and even captain them?

Did he then go on to play for Real Madrid, PSG and AC Milan, before making the American game grow in leaps and bounds, culminating in him being an owner in Inter Miami and bringing Messi to America?

Along the way, did he use that fame to front numerous high quality brands?

Did he marry a pop star who became a fashionista, and a success in her own right?

VB's fashionista business has been losing millions for years, propped up by an elaborate tax scheme by DB. VB was the worst of the Spice Girls, tone deaf and could barely dance. DB seems an empty vessel, not doing much more than sunbathing on yachts and attending fashion shows with his "wife". They don't live together and it's a business arrangement as they earn more for the brand. I almost feel sorry for their kids who they've publicly dragged through every airport in the world when they could have have used the discreet VIP exit. If DB is a winner then I'm glad I'm a loser.
