It’s Quiet 20 - What is the Wirtz that could happen?

Would love a move for Stiller.
I really like Stiller, but similar to Zubimendi, they’re not as effective out of possession. In possession, they’re brilliant, no doubt, but their inability to transition effectively into other positions beyond DM is a bit disheartening for me. I would have prefered focusing on someone versatile who can play both as a 6 and an 8. That said, I’m glad we’re making signings and putting pressure on our rivals and dunking on them—it’s great to see the frustration building among them. Loving the piss boil!

I think he has enough about his passing game to be a decent 8, maybe not 8/10 we seem to use (foden/kdb), but definitely a 6/8 or boxtobox etc.

I still don't understand why signing a pure 6 would be a problem for that player when rodri comes back. Rodri can play next to that player or as a slightly more advanced 8, like gundogan in the treble season or David Silva in 17-18.

We play 60 games a season. Any 6 at a team not currently in a European competition would surely snap your hand off to go straight into city's 11 this season and for 40 games a season playing in a midfield 3 with rodri next season.

Remember when we had David Silva and kdb and we brought in gundogan? Was gundogan worried about getting in with those two ahead of him? Bringing in Mahrez when we had sane, sterling, and Bernardo? We used to stack positions all the time.

Imagine playing both rodri and new 6 and when we are chasing a game we push rodri forward like we would do to yaya under mancini.

Every player in our squad gets rotated except a few, and after this season it proves we clearly should have been rotating them to avoid burn out. Bringing in a top quality 6 shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah I agree with this - playing Rodri & a 6 while pushing up a fullback, would leave us secure in possession (3-2) and for turnovers. Plus Rodri is just fantastic at linking play anyway. The fact we were after Rice does suggest Pep was planning a loose double pivot idea

We don’t know who we are getting in midfielder strong links with about 4 so I wouldn’t judge yet

Never been the same since Zoolander - career trajectory has been on the slide since.
Like a Museum piece these days, and I'm told he's a right miserable Focker
;) ;) ;)
Well, reality bites, and you surely went below the belt with this one—your shots at him are definitely nutcrackers. But let’s be real, I doubt he’d even hear you from his sky-rise penthouse duplex. Anyway, he’s way more famous than you and has his legacy locked down. He can just as nicely have a good trip down to Madagascar to enjoy his well-earned retirement! ;)

Whatever the truth about these potential signings, it's certainly boiling a lot of piss on the cafe and rawk 115 related threads.

Always worry about italians in the premier league. when was the last one that was a success? Calafiori and Chiesa both stunk out the gaff since joining from the Serie A this summer
Is Balotelli still the only Italian to win the premier league? I think so.

Khusanov, Marmoush and Luiz would represent a nice start to the rebuild - probably as good as could be expected for a January window.
Kimmich plus Wirtz/Musiala (or Baena) in the summer and we’re all set!
Baena would be a great signing
