I've often wondered if the reason we've never done a PSG, Barça, Real or Chavs & broken the world transfer record, was to stop people accusing us of using terrorist oil money to hoover up football's elite talent, thus buying success & ruining football, blah blah blah... They accused us of the very same anyway!

The prices we've paid for our legends has flummoxed our detractors. Yaya was a Barça reject. Spanish Dave was too small & skinny to succeed in English football. Tevez was a ManUre reject. Baldy's tiki-taka brand of footy would never work over here. Ferny who?

The thought of facing the brutish Khusanov who looks criminally insane, must be giving everyone nightmares! Lol :-)

I read one that said that we would just have impersonators pretending to be a separate company investing in the club, when really they would be something to do with 'state owned'. They are nuts.

Still need a top class DM in the 22-27 age range so teams don’t keep cutting through our ponderous midfield. Certainly could be a baptism of fire for a young centre back who’s not played in the PL before.
