Once saw him, when he was the lead singer with the Salford Shites (or Jets) playing at a club in Eccles. Can't remember the name of the club... Had many name changes but is the current Wetherspoons, Eccles Cross.
When he was performing "who you looking at", if that is the name of the song, he did his best to wind up the crowd, luckily no one reacted to the tosser.
This was when it was a regular event for different gangs of Salford gangs to come to Eccles for a scrap.
The main street (Church Street) had a ridiculous number of pubs!

As a kid I used to go in a lot of pubs as I`m sure we all did, I had a spell of going to Eccles usually visiting the Cross Keys, The oddfellows, The Fox, Top House and The Wellingon, plus others I can`t being to mind.

My local on the Height was mainly the Pack House because that was the only place that would serve me when I was 15.
