I genuinely believe the BBC are cunts towards us on purpose. It can't be anything other than a high-level management decision the way we are treated by them.
Of course it's on purpose, where have you been for the last decade. Any chance they get is an opportunity to moan, bitch, lie, talk shit about us. Bunch of fucking twats.

I actually quite like him and along with Phil Trow, is one of the few I can tolerate on Radio Manchester. Most of them can't enunciate their words correctly. I'm from Salford myself originally, and Sweeney on Piccadilly at lunch time early 80s was go to listening. He is a Rag though but actually OK.
i suppose your too young or have lost your memory because that T#%* sweeney injured Paul Walsh back in the mid 90’s where there was an inexplicable preseason/mid season charity game that involved manchester celebs retired players this was way before and nowt to do with ya socccer aid stuff, cannot remember what it was in aid of off hand but from recollection Walshy made a cameo appearance whilst a first team player & Sweeney injured him, and he missed at least one possibly two games, surely i’m not the only blue who recalls this at the time?

Definitely a bias, comparable sized clubs to us, say an Everton, Villa or Leeds legend passing would get the publicity and respect they deserve
Leeds are the one other club who have never had a fair shake off the media. Same reason as us beating the rags in many high profile games in the 70s and denying them the title in 91. The antipathy of the club to the rags is well known so the media love them not.

Disgusting that BBC NWT didn't mention the passing of Tony Book today. When the receptionist at United passed away recently they gave it prominent coverage (not that it was undeserved, given her 50 odd years of service). But to not even mention Skip's passing - player, captain, manager, coach and joint footballer of the year beggars belief.

I'm quite old but am in full possession of my mental faculties FYI. I had a lot going on in my life during the 80s so bad Blue alert no recollection of the incident to which you refer. I shall beholdenly defer to your clearly greater knowledge and memory power.

At least I can understand Sweeney as opposed to the no marks they have presenting now.

Small minor piece on North West tonight, Granada reports far better. Am forgetting Skip wasn't as valuable to society as dearly departed Rag receptionist Kath who got virtually state funeral coverage last week. The bias is blatant and disgraceful.

Of course it was undeserved, plenty of people do 50 years service at companies that don't get t.v. coverage. She wasn't famous, no one had heard of her apart from a hand full of rags, it was fucking ridiculous that it got so much coverage.

no mither mate, i was a little bit harsh to suggest you were too young or couldn’t remember, i’m no spring chicken meself, n memory not great but can still recall it due to the ridiculousness of it all, i fully agree with the later of your statement though despite my longstanding anger over the nonsense of a member of the public a radio disc jocky & well know red shouldn’t of had the opportunity to injure a first team city player in some nonsense charity game, an unedifying display typical city back then eh?
