Priced out?

With a citizens account you can only buy one ticket too, so what they are saying is sit on your own.

It's a joke.

Yea I'm not paying 75quid to sit on my own, than again I wouldnt pay 75quid even if I could sit with my lad 150quid for two tickets

Over Christmas, we all went to a Notts county game. Myself, my wife, my brother, my three kids (oldest 20, youngest 12) and my daughter’s boyfriend.

Seven of us, £110 . No VAR, cheap food and pints, and a historic ground. The whole thing made me feel very nostalgic and miss what football used to be. I did think it was just me getting old and looking back with rose tinted glasses about being young and going to Maine Road but my three kids loved it too.

Football at the top level really has forgotten it’s there for the regular match day goer (well, those not in hospitality…) too, not just the tv viewer or the tourists…

CLUB SURVEY's -:

The last 2 surveys have been materially different in content and tone from those of before.

Someone at the club has at last begun to recognise the mood of disenchantment from an increasing swathe of our fan base.

Now they have to implement a number of simple changes -:

1) Effective,timely communication.

2) 2 year freeze on all non corporate ticket prices.

3) Immediate review of all ticket prices, structures and conditions with a commitment to increase the number of graduated 'low cost' tickets for families, U18s and U25s

4) Indicative plans for the pricing,seating/standing structure/conditions for NS2.

5) Relocation of away fans to ESL110/111.

6) SSL3/2 - Exclusive 'City End'

The club would have to care in order to implement that.....

They're obsessed with matching the rags and dippers matchday revenue.

Fucking fans over a dick measuring contest.

Yes, match day tickets are pretty much the same all over the ground for every group age, bar more expensive tickets in certain parts of the ground.

If Bayern dared to raise the tickets prices by much in the Ultra end and in other parts of the ground, the Ultra end would remain empty until the ticket prices were reduced.

Bayern will have a working relationship with their Ultra fans. They value them for their support. Most European clubs do. Sadly the opposite is true in England.
City could CHOSE to be different.... to be the shining example of the traditional, local club.

To be actively supporting/subsidising our Mancunian/Local fans with affordable low/lower cost tickets and sympathetic conditions, whilst premium pricing agencies and tourists.

Imagine the positive and beneficial image the club would be portrayed in.

A benevolent, empathetic club supporting its core fans........ transformational.

Imo, from what i've learned from my time in the UAE generally & Abu Dhabi particularly, they are very averse to being portrayed as money grubbers, and prefer the correct impression of being benefactors to their citizens.

The Sheikh & Khaldoon will be aware of and very uncomfortable with the mood of money grubbing alianation emimating from the fan base recently.

We,1894 etc, must keep the pressure on and hope that positive and lasting change follows quickly.

There is a massive opportunity to change the narrative in conjuncton with our 115 victory.

Take it City !!

I don't disagree with what you say but I think City should be thinking of all the fans not just local.
Local fans 'just' have ticket price to pay. We have fuel, food and mostly time. The time it takes to do 600 miles in this country is fucking ridiculous.

Two main problems I see are ticket prices plus being able to be sat with your mates or family.

The last two seasons have been a nightmare for this. We have gone from attending 15 plus matches down to 4. These 4 games we aren't sat together :(

I think this season is my last sadly

I can accept trying to match the dippers match day revenue to a degree, but the rags get over 20,000 more every home game and will still be getting 15,000 more when we've expanded the ground. That means City fans would have to be spending 20% more than rag fans on average to match them.
I know other factors come into play and the above is a first estimation, but it's probably not far from the actual figure.
We also seem to have three times the number of stewards to pay due to the size of the outer concourse.

Funnily enough I was talking about stewards when walking up JMW after the last game, they're fucking everywhere with 90% doing fuck all apart from keeping orange jacket manufacturers in business.

Not much better at the gates must be 20+ outside M2 & 3/4 inside to look at tickets colours.

Then inside, they stand in the tunnels blocking movement to seats and when tourists have no idea where to find their seats they either look the other way or have no idea where to direct them to & don't get me started on how a 18 year old girl would cope if it kicked off big time.

We should replace the word local with loyal.

Any fan who attends matches regularly, irrespective of where he or she comes from should be treated with far more respect and consideration than we currently are.

The ticket prices for that Chelsea game are absolutely tone deaf from the club. Just because they are loaded doesnt mean that what is largely a working class fanbase is as well.

I assume they are relying on the tourist fans weve attracted over the past few years - who will all bugger off immediately once the glory train stops and Pep & Erling bugger off too.

The worry than is would we come back ? I'm not 100% sure I would. But age and travel time is against me to be honest

City are systematically dismantling the structure of City's match going fan base bit by bit, match by match, with their all consuming and obsessive pursuit of increasing match day revenue, and in the process pricing people, families, and friends out, and limiting seats together for friends and families.
