That’s why I never back big favourites on the handicap.

My God, can you imagine how you’d feel watching that with a big bet on Kansas -9.5?

That’s betting on the NFL!! With big lines like that you get a lot of back door covers.

No you don’t. About 20 years ago I worked for a short while with a guy called Gary (can’t remember his surname) who had formerly been a punter in the NFL. He’d bounced around a few clubs, but always on the backup/ practice squad and I don’t think he ever took a punt in an actual, in-season game. I recall him telling me that he was the first-ever black kicker on a couple of those teams. IIRC the Buccaneers was one of them.

The first half of this Lions-Commanders game has been nuts.

I remember Brady throwing five touchdowns in a quarter a few years ago. But six touchdowns in one quarter must be getting close to a record.

I’m not watching this game but presume the commentators have mentioned it?

Well that didn’t go to plan for the Lions. Just couldn’t stop Daniel’s and defensively just not good enough. Goff also didn’t play well and far too many costly turnovers.

The only one I can remember is Marquette King, punter on the Raiders, was very good but a bit of a dickhead who would do dancing celebrations if he did a good punt, got a big contract for a punter.

Goff threw turned over the ball and the Lions couldn't pressure the Daniels. No CBs can cover receivers for 6 seconds or more. It's a shame they lost as they are so entertaining to watch.

That Washington vs Detroit game was mad. Detroit’s defense got exposed and Daniel’s and the Washington offense was brilliant.
add to that all the turnovers, forget about it.

Well done Washington. They are on a roll. Probably make it to the super bowl then get mullered by the Chiefs.

Roll on today’s games. Let’s go Buffalo!!

Yeah, didn't see that coming at all.

The defensive injuries were unsustainable in the end and they ran out of bodies and luck and they never really touched Daniels.

The offence can't turn the ball over 5 times leading to 21 points and expect to win. With Zeitler out, Goff looked uncomfortable all night. But a few of Johnsons calls were dodgy. Throwing on an early 3rd and 1 when they were running the ball easily, the pick six, the Jamo INT.....

A shame and a sad end to a great season, but they get a lot of injured players back on defence, so the future looks bright.

Yeah they seemed to panic a little bit chasing the game and stopped doing what was working so well. No need for Williams to be throwing, Goff trying to force passes that weren’t there etc.

Anyway, been a fun season watching them and like you say, when you think of the defensive players to actually come back, they will hopefully be even stronger next season.
