My worry is that City will rightly only offer him a rolling 1 year extension due to his age, with likely reduced wages due to reduced game time expected.

And he has every right to reject that if he wants a better contract at say the MLS or whatever.

So I suspect based on this, he may leave.

Great to see so many in the game speak about him that way. He has been an extraordinary footballer, and may even - and it's difficult to say, but dare it be said he edges the wonderful David Silva? Not that it matters much, as we've been so lucky to have had both of them.

However, and I know it shouldn't, but that video mad me a little bit sad knowing it's all coming to an end.

I probably felt the same about Aguero and Silva - I just don't recall it being so profound. Must be age.

Pressed and doubled him heavy and he was invisible. Needs runners around him to succeed, not Bernardo or Kova.

He cant even move his feet fast enough to get free. Wouldn't matter if he had Mo Farah next to him.

Not good enough at the highest level anymore. Goes with everyones best wishes at the end of the year.

Great servant but should be used sparingly until he leaves in the summer. We’ve become culturally too reliant on individual players (de Bruyne last season for his creativity and Rodri this season for his defensive stability) to the extent that the others don’t step up to fill their absence. That culture needs to be changed.

he is still the best player on the team,if he does not start we have no creativity
Agree but he also loses it a lot & does not have the legs to press. I think we need to focus on making hard for teams & defend better begore we think about scoring

If Marmoush is half the player some are saying, Kev could find himself struggling to get in the side regularly

People jumping on Kev. Kev is not able — can no longer — play two games a week. It is absolutely as simple as that. He can make a considerable contribution, if he is dealt with as someone who can play once a week, and maybe a ten minute cameo at most in a midweek game. He was brilliant against Ipswich. All over the pitch, bursting runs. He simply doesn't have the gas in the tank for more. That's the deal. If that's not good enough (and there is an argument to be made that it isn't good enough at our level, I accept that), then so be it. He'll be on his way, and I shall salute him as one of the greatest players I've seen. But his great days are long gone.
