Going to turn off from this thread now the coward twat is done. It’s leading me to some extremely grim and dark thoughts about what I’d like to see happen to him in prison, with nothing left to the imagination.

May the victims and the parents of those babies take some kind of comfort in this sentence and hopefully rebuild their lives in the best way they possibly can.

He will be beaten up in prison, but will keep surviving because of some interference from guards or doctors doing their jobs to save him, although they don’t want to. Like Huntley and in recent times, Watkins.

I am too switching off from this thread. I’m lost for words over this whole tragic case.

I’ve found this case/thread heartbreaking. I’ve got beautiful innocent granddaughter’s - one around the same age as these poor girls and I’m both upset and furious - I’d personally kill that little **** if I got my hands on the utter piece of shit.
I’m absolutely amazed and disappointed at the number of posters seeking to make cheap political points about this appalling atrocity. All sorts of guff about fucking Thatcher, Tories and Labour etc, people fighting their little ideological corners over an issue like this is a disgrace.
There is a political dimension around the amount of information released/withheld about this fucking monsters background and various qualified observers (not Farage etc) have questioned whether Keir Starmer was right to withhold and whether is was strictly necessary or not. That’s fair comment. The total bollocks from the Home Secretary about buying knives from Amazon is pure politically-derived deflection and anyone falling for it needs to give their head a wobble.
But these issues are fucking trivial in the face of this tragedy.

The only bit that wasn’t seen was a section where the children who didn’t want to be named were being discussed. The feed was cut for a couple of minutes.

The rest was described in full detail and highlighted the murder’s heinous need to the hilt.

I too have a beautiful young granddaughter, who goes to ballet class in Rochdale on Saturday mornings and i find it unimaginable what the parents and grandparents of those little girls have had to endure.

It is reasonable for people to want him to suffer a long life locked away rather than an instant death. Whether or not the British justice system provides a lifestyle akin to the suffering people would want is another question.

I think if I was in a position where this directly affected me, I would probably want him dead though.

Having heard the sentencing and the sheer level of violence and cruelty carried out on those poor girls, I would very much change my previous comment to ‘definitely want him dead’

The only thing stopping me would be wanting an answer as to ‘why?’, however I don’t think anyone is going to get an answer out of him, and maybe it’s just not going to help anyway.

Absolutely no need to keep someone like that alive.

I think knowing he was no longer alive would be some small scrap of comfort.

I know there is no way he or she could have known what was going to happen, but imagine the what ifs that must have gone through the head of the driver of that car they got the dashcam footage from outside the dance class?

I'm sure I read a few months back that he's suffering from severe trauma because of it. The guilt must be harrowing and I hope he's ok long term.

I usually have full control of my emotions but reading some of those updates from the courtroom today made me well up. It doesn't bare thinking about.

I hope this subhuman thing is tortured every day of his sentence.
