Most are totally unprincipled, we used to protect the idea of the freedom of the press but nowadays I am not too sure about that at all.
The media is now the Wild West with virtually no serious journalism left, especially in the written press. Very few journalists report stories fairly. Content is driven by clickbait. Politics and football are two of the worst areas for distortion. It is really just propaganda most of the time. It is shocking how quickly this has happened because of the digital revolution. It is a dangerous situation moving forward because instability and fake news will lead to conflict.

This is chapgpt with that prompt

alright mate here’s the deal innit, Manchester City. the so-called “football club,” yeah? but really it’s just a big cash machine run by some oil lads with pockets deeper than the Mariana Trench. they’ve got more money than sense, innit. like, how’s a club that couldn’t fill Maine Road suddenly buyin’ players like they’re pickin’ up milk at Tesco?

used to be no one cared about city, right, just that club down the road from united, their “noisy neighbours” or whatever Fergie said. now it’s all “oh look at city, they play the best football, Pep this, Haaland that.” yeah mate, ‘course they’re good, they’ve got like 400 million quid sittin’ on the bench.

and don’t get me started on the fans. you’ve got the old ones who are like, “I was there when we were in league two, mate,” and the new ones who think city’s been good since the dawn of time. nah, mate, you was nobodies before 2008. everyone knows that.

but yeah, city, they win trophies now, innit. congrats on buyin’ the treble last year or whatever. enjoy it while you can, cos when the oil runs out, you’re back to fighting for midtable. history? nah mate, you can’t buy that. keep polshin’ them empty Etihad seats tho.

anyway, up the reds or the toffees or whoever you support, just not them. cheers.

I should be a journalist.
In fairness it’s infinitely better than Glendenning’s effort.

Wonder who Sky are backing today?

Interesting Chelsea have had a mini crisis with 1 win in their last 6 premier league games & Palmer scoring 3. Whereas City & Foden going through a major crisis have won 3 with Phil scoring 6……. If they want to go back further then Phil’s done it all.

Fuck me some major wanking going on about Cole Palmer on football focus right now.
And rightly so. We’ve committed the cardinal sin in football transfers in that we’ve made ourselves weaker and a rival much stronger. Without him, Chelsea are nowhere near top 4 and, I suspect, if we’d kept him, we’d be somewhat closer to the top.
From a passing perspective, he’s the closest thing I’ve seen to KDB and we let him leave..
