What were they apologising for?
Tim Sherwood, out of character for me, suddenly blurts out that we make our own rules up.
For me sky sports have told him to say that because it fits the anti city shite that the media say about us. Personally I like sherwood as he's always been honest about us and bigs us up but today reminded me of when Ian Wright did Monday night football once and he looked liked a robot saying we still have 115 charges hanging over us.
Fuck sky sports, we all know they are in the red cartel camp.

Really enjoyed that, what a great game of football.

Haaland absolutely bullied his man second half, Pep knew he could, he knew he could and the team knew it too, all those long balls were not by chance.

Hard to pick anyone out but Erl, Josko, Bernardo superb, and Phil for taking that chance, We don't have a good record with 1 on 1's.

All that dead ball shit with no 6 and the Keeper, Madness :-)

I don't think anyone will say we're back to our best after that performance but we did show guts and resilience and deserved the win in the end. In the early stages we were as sloppy as ever and our new lad was far from the only culprit. We struggled to clear our defensive third because Chelsea were marking man for man. When we could clear our third we played reasonably, had a goal disallowed and then equalised. In the second half we were much better and were much more prepared to counter Chelsea's man marking by Ederson going direct to Erling who was simply too big, strong and good for his "man marker". City went ahead and then settled it.

City still need a DM and some legs in midfield and there are still questions about our defence but Marmoush offers the real hope of energy and legs in support of Erling in tandem with Phil and today there was no second half collapse, quite the reverse. Not a good start but a very satisfactory end.

Personally the most enjoyable home game this season, loved the comeback, and the second half performance as much as the result. Don't have any real personal animosity towards CFC, I save that for the rags, the dipps and the arses who I detest . I cant be bothered to care about Tottenham. We are nowhere near the heights we've reached in recent years, but there are signs we can recover and maybe reach Europe. As a club we have been forced to endure unrelenting hatred and ye olde legacy media animosity and vitriol, but at the end of the day there isn't a single honest football fan in this.country who would swap their owners for ours.

It took us a long time to realise we had a 6 foot 4 class striker who they were leaving 1 on 1 before we decided we could go long to him from the back and cause them havoc. Haaland's best game for ages. Ederson's long passing was impressive second half.
Nunes impressed me with his energy and driving runs and his part in the first goal. Gvardiol - great from an attacking perspective too and probably should have had more than one goal. Bernardo tremendous energy and lead by example mentality - kept running all game.
Of the new players, Marmoush was very lively but I'm not yet ready to say he'll be a sure fire hit. Khusanov - I think should have been told "first 20 minutes just be safe and ease your way into things - hit it long if you need too". Tried hard to atone for his error - sometimes too hard and was left floundering. A debut to forget but hopefully he will improve.
As soon as we got the third (well taken, Walter), Pep should have got one of McAtee or O'Reilly on for Gundogan who was 5 yards off the pace by that stage.
Anyway, it was good to see the crowd and team coming together to get a very important come from behind win. By god, we need legs in midfield though.

It's easy to forget how good Stones is but it was great to see him back on the pitch. Khusanov had a 10 minute Nunes impression then settled down and played well I thought. Nunes did OK as well until he got in their box and struggled to know what to do. I feel for him but I don't think he's much better than he was today.

Josko could have had a hat trick in the first half. He's got a big game mindset in my opinion. he often seems to let players run past him then does his best defending in the second action.

The midfield three were incredibly frustrating with lots of sideways and backwards passing which often wasn't snappy enough. Bernado did plenty of running but his passing is so lazy at times and with the way teams press us it came make the receiving player look like a clown. He got better in the second half but not sure why he kept coming back in the first to get the ball from a centre half to then just do nothing with the ball. Gundog also seemed to have a huge problem with passing it forwards. I think this made it hard for Marmoush but he was making plenty of runs not being found by the 3 in the middle.

Haaland was in full on beast mode in the second. Loved his goal and the simple Flick to Foden took all the Chelsea team out of the game.

It slowly feels like we are getting back to some kind of plan and it felt like a big win today for the mentality of the team

Just got home. Traffic was beyond shite after the game!

First 20 mins were ropey as heck, but we slowly got better and by half time were the only team that was attacking.

Gvardiol should have had a hattrick, but showed again how dangerous he is going forwards.

Matheus Nunes. Best game for us, let alone at right back. Pocketed Sancho supremely and was a big threat going forwards. We have our right back for the season.

Marmoush looked lovely and will become a major threat once they’ve learned to link up properly.

Big Erling was superb in the second half. Bullied their back line and scored a great goal. (Their keeper was shocking, but we’ll take it!)

Gundo, Kovacic and Bernardo dominated their midfield. Enzo Fernandez is a total fraud of a footballer.

Has anyone seen Cole Palmer? ;-)

Missed tonight's game as my band were rehearsing. And now I'm thinking should i not watch anymore. Was i jinxing the team?

From all accounts reading through the pages seems like i missed a belter

Thought it was bit over the top Chelsea booing their own keeper even as bad as he was/is

Great summary. Glad for Nunes & the young lad Kush recovered well.

Performance was ok

But not enough is being said about the major point of this game - The keeper jersey Ederson was wearing - an absolute abomination. We deserve a 3 point deduction for allowing someone to wear it.

I worry for the clubs future
Fkn putrid, wasn’t it? Should have been worn midweek along with the Oasis so we could have a “worst ever kit” competition.

Luckily its wearer - who has hardy been mentioned - was instrumental in turning the game.
