Overplayed due to Stones and Ake being injured and it shows. Still, he's almost always available and gives everything. Should be a lot more respected for his contributions in the most successful period in club history.

To me he is 2 different players. I believe he started as a winger and anywhere wide he looks comfortable and fairly natural. I would go as far as to say i quite like himcat full back, but as a CB he's just a fish out of water. Too keep it short doesn't position himself where the danger is and not robust enough plus hes not good with his head.

Doesn't want to mess his hair up, that's why no good with his head, different style every match

Same with Gvardiol. But we got 2 new CB now basically everyone beside Aké is fit now so he should get some rest soon hopefully.

I have come to accept how bloody passive and "weak" he is but today really annoyed me. I think he still has a place in the squad, rarely injured and can play different positions but yeah just not good today with how he dealt with the situation.

Like when he played a shocking ball that was easy to turn over and let them in again? He was awful.

Not only that, but a lack of effort to make up for his mistakes are what is making people pissed off.

I can forgive mistakes. But when you’re making mistakes, but making zero effort to atone for those errors Is unforgivable.

How on earth do you reach that conclusion from what you've seen today ? Dias is obviously first choice with either Stones or Ake if they are available. You then wipe all out all of Akanji's contributions for City in favour of a 20 yo old who for 55 minutes, did not much more than struggle through a very difficult debut.

What I meant is I reckon stones and Kushonov will be better than with Akanji and Kushonov it goes without saying ake and Dias come straight back in but at the minute there injured or “ill” I meant availability wise at this current moment

Obviously it’s Khusanov’s mistake, but it’s crap hy Akanji too. Gets far too close to Khusanov for no reason (and is therefore out of position) and then makes absolutely no effort to get back either

I'm not a big fan of his hard core defending but I thought he generally played OK yesterday, and got us through a tricky situation with the absences.

The goal probably doesn't happen in the presence of Dias, but Akanji had a decent game and has been a good buy.
