Welcome Abdukodir Khusanov

The vultures in the press have already started to stick the boot in.
I mean, he didn’t have a great start but this headline is well over the top.

Let’s hope our owners purchase of the telegraph goes through so they can sack this hack.

He was so nervous and tense. Can't blame him.

Needs to make better decisions when to attack the ball. On a few occasions, it left him wrong side of the ball. Not sure if that is enthusiasm or a fault in his game.

I don't think we can comprehend the step up in class that he was put into. As you say can't blame the nerves but he shown bottle coming back and being solid for the rest of the game. I'm excited about how good he's going to be for us.

I remember seeing Quim Mangala having a superb debut against Chelsea and then being shit every other game he played for us. I’m hoping for the opposite for Abdokudir. I admire him for having the balls to start this game so soon after signing and wish him all the best for what I’m sure will be a great career with City.

I hope these Uzbek fans aren't going to be as bad as the Algerian lot were when we had Mahrez.

I remember receiving death threats on twitter from Algerian fans for suggesting mahrez shouldn't be our penalty taker!
I'm starting to think that gif of him in a Lens shirt is actually just part of their home language.

They're going to be insufferable. Just like the Bosnians were for Dzeko, just like the Algerians were for Mahrez.

Does this happen the other way? Were there an army of nonsensical English fans posting Kyle Walker gifs in the AC Milan comment sections?

Pep took a risk letting a 20 year old making his debut in an important game like this. Obviously had the worse start one can have. The young man knows that as well. What I thought was baffling is he didn’t get any protection after that up until the moment Bernardo started to do so. Even when he made the howler it was Akanji not taking the initiative nor did he hold of Jackson.

Anyways Kushanov has come so far being just 20 and I’m sure he will learn and stand up from this game. I certainly won’t hold thus performance against him.

I've suggested that Bernie has probably gone slightly over the hill but last night I thought that was Bernardo's best game for a while. Shown a lot of leadership qualities in trying to protect the young centre back.
