Fair enough mate. You’re right about us being unusually quiet about injuries. If Viv is still in this position this time next year I’ll happily agree with you! For now though I think it’s too early to say.Think it's really hard to say. I don't really pay too much attention to what the women's team are saying around injuries these days as they've clearly adopted a policy of keeping serious injuries under wraps (not really sure what purpose that policy serves as players talk and there's no way other players and other clubs don't know the true extent of other rival teams' injuries).
I think there are a lot of red flags as to Miedema's ability to stay fit but given she came on a free I've always felt it was a chance worth taking. My main point in this thread was that i still think it's right to sign a player of Kerolin's quality when they become available. There's always injuries around the first team and the reason Chelsea have stayed ahead of the pack is that they have massive squad depth
I don’t actually know much about Kerolin but I’ve heard a few journalists saying it’d be quite the coup. I know she’s scored a few goals in the NWSL but I don’t think I seen much that stood out before that. Do you think it’d be a good signing and what kind of player is she? We do have a tiny squad for a CL team when you compare to Chelsea’s.. it’d be nice to have a few more players in some positions but Gareth doesn’t rotate often, though he has been a bit better at that this season but probably not by choice with the amount of games we’ve had and injuries.
I would like to keep Kelly instead of replacing her but at this rate it’s probably best for all involved to move on
