Seems fairly clear non of our midfield targets are available, best we can hope for is a loan, so this deal makes no difference to that. It does fill another positition that needs filling and improves us.£55m is already more than I would pay for him. He's good, about as good as we can realistically get right now, but he's not good enough to be paying Marmoush money for. Especially not when we're in dire need of a midfielder.
I don't care about a fee, the club will very rarely pay above what they want or can for a player and even then the occasions we have done I doubt it was seen as that much at the time, like any transfer you run the risk of them being shit anyway.

Plus, Cambiaso has played in midfield many times for Juventus. Possible, though think more likely he plays inverted right back, but having somebody that can step in beside Kovacic should help the defensive midfield side .Plus, Cambiaso has played in midfield many times for Juventus. Don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. Been a brilliant player over the years but not what we need right now. Unlikely to be a legit free transfer given the likely signing on fee and wages.
