how's Simon Stone's ugly head still attached to his weedy body - I assume he lives in the Mcr area, so not sure how he has remained unscathed

Phil McNulty trolling the world in his Q&A on the bbc right now:

"Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth moving into and around the top six so maybe the gap is closing. I really hope so because the feats of those two have greatly enhanced the Premier League this season – and wouldn’t it be great if clubs could break through the glass ceiling and the league did not become some sort of cartel?"
I'm struggling with your post tbh. I'm loving City's success but there is no way I want a closed shop league.
To me, the cartel is rags, dips and Arsenal. Chelsea were the first to change the 'sky top 2' into a 'sky top four' and then we arrived.
I want the Geordies, Villa and others challenging. Unless he has said more than you posted I can't see why you are annoyed.

Thats my point. Is it only a cartel now we're involved? Was it not a cartel when only 4 teams won it in the first 20 years and one was the blackburn season? It was the use of the word "become" I found a little disengenuous.

Fair point, in fact a good point. It's the subtle digs (and I missed it) it's only a cartel when thise 'bloody A rabs' start winning.

Watching the transfer show on sky sports. Audience member question about the charges. Before anything was said “we must emphasise City maintain they have done nothing wrong.” Then Kaveh Solhekol very cagey. Words to the effect the PL felt City had a case to answer but City adamant they have done nothing wrong. The result is unknown to anyone at this stage and the media should be “responsible” and await the outcome before commenting. Suggests Sky have realised they can no longer keep up with the cheats innuendos. Pity it took this long and maybe City’s warning after the Tim Sherwood nonsense has hit home hard.

Ali the 'Real Madrid' fan: "How can City spend on transfers, what about the 115 charges?"

Not paranoid at all.
The media are cunts and acted like cunts in the way they reported his debut. No balance at all. I suggest you look to Akanji who perhaps deserved more criticism . Anyway each to their own.
If you think Rico starting was a better option that Kusanov then you haven't watched Rico this season.
Edit....trust me I am not paranoid about the media. I suggest you read all my posts on this thread, however the 2 footed verbal assault on him by the likes of Neville summed that clown and Sky sports up.
I’m pretty sure that every capitulation this season Rico has been in the field for….

Don't the sales of Alvarez and Cancelo fall into the same FFP period as the purchases in the current window? I'd have thought one of the reasons we can spend a lot this year is because we;ve already sold a lot

I think it's the same everywhere though. Italian journalists and Spanish journalists absolutely savage the managers in their league. Gary Neville was talking the other day about how he got asked 7 times in a row if he was going to resign which wouldn't happen here.

The British press according to various managers are different from others in a few key ways:

1. They don't know football as much as the Europeans. In Italy, they will constantly ask tactical questions after a loss and why the manager didn't do this or that. UK is more personality focused.

2. As part of personality focus, personal lives are often fair game in the way that they often aren't elsewhere.

3. Their purpose abroad is seen as to hold the management to task for the fans of that club, including loud minorities. Here it's more asking questions that will create headlines that will write the story that they already want to write.
Sports Reporters are not really journalists any more. They just regurgitate knee jerk quotes from the web. They don't investigate and research information. They rarely break stories. They attend press conferences which all fans can already see live online. What a pointless exercise. I am certain that many members of this forum have better contacts at City than any of the current press pack. Most of them don't have a clue what is happening at the club and know nothng about financial issues. Over the last decade the information on Bluemoon has been consistently better than anything in the mainstream media and has mostly been much more accurate.

SKY have made total fools of themselves over the last five years with their biased coverage of City's financial affairs. They have missed a bigger story and have believed all the bile they have been fed by their pals at Arsenal, LFC, and MUFC.

"Become some sort of cartel?" Is that different to the red cartel that sort of definitely HAS existed for decades?

Weird, that.

I was there and sincerely clapped him. Took balls to show for the ball again, and it can't hurt to let the young lad know he hadn't lost the crowd.

In fairness, Neville praised the support the fans gave him. Said and i’m paraphrasing, ‘the fans were great with him.’

It’s a partnership thing which is what Pep has alluded to. Rico right back with a proper fit centre half pairing & a fit midfield is a quality player. He was MOTM in the games for the first month.

Agree, absolutely no issue with Rico playing right back in a fully functional side. Far too much pressure has been lumped on the lad. He’s still incredibly young and has been expected to play like he’s a seasoned pro.
