Good example of why stats don't mean much.....playing dmf for Porto in their pub league he's probably only had to intercept or clear against 2 teams. Probably tackles stupidly and gets booked because he gets bored ;)

This is what I like about city in that all us football managers haven’t got a clue what business city are actually doing as so far all the signings have been players not linked . Looks a really good young players and hopefully we get it done .

Only thing i can see as someone who could do a job in a 2 with Kova/Gundo/Bernie.
Good on the ball and clearly tenacious so could see him next to Rodri long-term rather than rotation/understudy. Like getting Gundos replacement in now rather than waiting if makes sense.. Just doesn't seem to have lone 6 qualities is all. Similar to Douglas Luiz I suppose.
 
Something doesn't add up. Why did Barca sell him for just €8m if he is a real talent? Must have been a bit underwhelming at Barca and then Valencia? Maybe he's made big progress at Porto? If we really want him must be so. But his RC is the same as that of Zubimendi who is much closer to Rodri quality wise.

Their academy is like ours. They sell most of their graduates. They didn’t rate him highly enough to keep him as they have decent midfield options.

I was a bit disappointed when I read somewhere that his weakness was his pace. About the same top speed as Gundogan which isn't much to brag about.
