I think you are right and I guess the club have been careful to identify someone who can play with or without Rodri.

Out new DoF must be well aware of him. I hope he’s the one dealing with this. He knows the people there. He can play 6 or 8 apparently. Get it done, he’s a real prospect with plenty of much needed energy in midfield.

And if you actually read my post I said his acceleration doesn’t look great. So where’s your stats regarding that? But I am fine with you thinking kovacic is fast. But I don’t.

Kovacic is rapid over 10 yards, have you not seen his burst away from the opposition trick that he pulls of multiple times every game?
Speed is very variable amongst footballers, some take ten yards to get up to speed(walker etc) some can only go ten( kova)

Think the sell on is inevitable but do agree maybe we are trying to work out a deal thats favourable to Porto. Probably incentive based thats very achievable.

Reading of the game, reaction time and quick feet are almost as important as pace in central midfield.

Thought i'd check out Rodri's top speed for comparison. Speedsdb makes Gonzalez look positively Speedy compared to Rodri. I should add i have no interest in the accuracy or relevance of these numbers other than that they shouldn't be used to disparage a Rodri replacement.
