Yep because spurs with Levy and hardly any fit defenders apart from porro should be easy to negotiate with

Never said it’d be easy but they’re not in a brilliant negotiating position are they? 2nd worst form in the league, manager probably getting sacked, no European football.

Nobody has suggested he could qualify as club trained, it's already been pointed out much earlier he'll sadly miss out, like Macfarlane, by just a couple of months. He could though still be included in our A list even though the U20 youth tournament keeps him away for a while yet. Won't get in ahead of Gonzalez but if Cambiaso doesn't land maybe instead of Khusanov. All these youngsters will be eligible for the PL though.

McFarlane will probably make the cut based on if he goes on loan etc.
 
As for Porro’s defensive numbers, he makes more tackles, blocks and interceptions than Cambiasso, 3x more clearances and wins possession back twice as often. Plus more goals and assists. Plus Cambiasso’s played mostly as a LB this season.

No. Porro can only play in one position and is totally one footed. Cambiaso can play on either side, is two footed, and can invert into the midfield. I'm all for getting Cambiaso...
 
The Lloyd Kelly to Juve deal is one to watch. Wonder if it’s related to a potential deal for Cambiaso?

back to Cambiaso- he looks very versatile and the one things Italians know how to do is defend! That versatiluty should serve him well as he looks like he could tuck inside as a fullback and ven play midfield as a 6. Him and Gonzales and we are suddenly looking a bit more solid ...then in the summer we have to sort out the replacements for Gundo and KDB - this will be the biggest moment in transfer history for us in the last 10 years....replacing Kun was hard...I think replacing KDB is even tougher but it needs to be done.

Cambiaso would be some signing in this window. He's one of those world class full backs that many fans would only dream of having at their club. A Pep kind of player. Defends well, solid in possession, wins the ball back, great distribution , can work the transitions- makes attacking runs , can play in three positions left full, right full and DM. . But it depends on whether Pep really wants him

So he’s more versatile, but we need a right back. I’m not arsed if he can play on the left or through the middle.

They play in different Leagues, where the game is played differently, and very different teams...stats have so many variables, they are pointless.
