Presuming he’s not a panic buy. I do wonder why we didn’t just pay his release clause on 1st Jan instead of waiting a month and losing a few games in between.

Personally think it’s the fact we were waiting to see if we qualified for CL play offs or not.

It seems he may not have been our first choice. Pep said we've been trying to sign a CDM, but were either quoted far too much or the players weren't available.

I'm sure I read that his release clause was complicated because there's a sell on clause to Barca for 40% plus Porto get 20% of another sell on clause, might be why it's complicated and took so long.

He was of average speed. Then he did a 9 hour medical which has completely fucked him and he’s now slower than Gundo.
