if you rent you pay the landlord a deposit which he/she can use to make good any delapidations resulting from your action or inaction. Seems if you are an MP of any Party you can trash a place and its OK you and me will pick up the bill

The last election landslide cost the taxpayer £52Million in costs due to the huge turnover in MP’s and staff/office costs.

Not sure why jackanory picks out a lone Tory MP except I do lol.

Did I hear Badenoch right today? Labour has pinched our policies, and will implement them, but we won't see the benefit for years (which is why we never got round to implementing them).

Just watching the Thatcher / Walden drama on C4. Normally Coogan wins with his depiction (not impersonation) of the lead character but fuck me Harriet Walter has Thatcher off to a tee - again not an impersonation but a depiction - she has the voice nailed down
 
and they wonder why Reform Ltd is snapping at their ankles - the problem is when you pick a thick narcissist to lead the Party he picks people who are supine and even thicker than him

 
until they ditch Badenoch, Jenrick, Patel and the rest they have no chance - they may not even form His Majesties Opposition after the next GE. They need at least another election to purge themselves of the numpties and nasties and realise Johnson ain't coming back because his legacy is toxic as theirs before they can mount a comeback. Only then with 2nd new intake can they hope that they can hope to elect a leader who is electable - I'd expect 3 terms out of office to get there from a Party who still sends Chris Philp out there as a spokesman
