24 years is a long time in history. Man City were probably a lot of fans 2nd team back then, not sure that would be the same now, and I doubt you guys would give 2 fecks about that.

Knowing our history, I've never been 1 for this Can't Buy Class or History nonsense. History has always shown that you buy the best players, then you can win leagues and create history.

Totally agree with what you say about a large portion of the fanbase, especially the social media / YouTube crowd. It's like TalkSport on steroids, looking for that headline for likes and views etc. Unfortunately it's probably the only thing we're 'leading' in.

Just talking about on the pitch, I get this 'rivalry' is more 1 way currently. That's because of of the trajectory of both clubs the last 15 years. Remember, your rise was almost in direct correlation to our fall. That has meant we've watched you slap us about time and time again, and yeah, we had developed a massive inferiority complex. You are at the top. You are where everyone wants to be, and part of the side effect of that is that people takes swings at the champ. I've no doubt next time, the Champ will come back swinging, and you certainly won't hear any complaints from me when you do so, because if you give it out, you need to take it, and that works both ways, and why I enjoy watching 2 characters like Gabriel and Haaland go at each other, without the need for nasty tackles or violence.

It’s funny that no one cares about us & yet look at the effort that Rags, Dippers & yourselves go to creating a rivalry.

I think you’ll find we aren’t concerned about yourselves but our concerns are with our form & what we can control. We won’t be blaming anyone but ourselves or lobbying rule makers or the media. Plenty more bad results before the end of the season for us but I think we’ll be back on form for next season.

Now you should be paying attention to the team above & trying to catch them otherwise it’s another missed opportunity.

Agreed re History...what annoys me is that most fans think history only started when their club started winning trophies (Liverpool for one). City were equal to them in trophies before they enticed Shankly and he got a treasure trove from the UK's biggest gambling company! City actually won the FA Cup in 1904! some 26 years before Arsenal's first trophy - how is that not cited as History?

Players are allowed to compete. I saw Andy Roberton get stuck into Messi and slap his face on the field. Players are allowed to compete. It doesn't matter who you are, when you cross the white line its a contest and no player should not be willing to get stuck in just because of a player's aura.

Do people here think lower league teams when competing in the FA Cup with upper PL teams, should bring their autograph book and not get amongst it?

People call Arsenal fans sensitive and entitled, but basically the entire Man City fanbase thinks Haaland should be 'respected' rather than competed with.
Why don't you just fuck off ..you are an annoying Tarquin ****..
Bridesmaid FC.. small time cunts with a soft fan base..how many turned up after to the league game after we beat you in the league cup final...was it about 20,000 because it was too cold for you.
Nobody thinks Haaland shouldn't be competed against..it's just you ...
As soon as some team leaves a bit on Saka you will be crying like the bitches you are.
Fuck off and enjoy being runners up at best..as I say.. Bridesmaid FC

Honestly, i think anyone who says they dont care about City is talking out their arse. Clubs are vying to be first, to be the best, to be champions, and as the old saying goes to be the best you need to beat the best. I think what some do is hide behind the charges, hide behind the dominance, and almost use that as a crutch or an excuse to hide behind when they inevitably come up short.

I don't expect you to be overly concerned about us, as has been pointed out, we've won nothing yet. As was pointed out by Cundy, and I think it's a great analogy, we are good at winning battles now, but never win the wars, so to be really taken seriously, we need to win a couple of wars. I think with the squad where it is, and our obvious weakness in attack we need to address we are in a good position to compete to do that going forward, but until we do, I understand there will always be a certain disdain towards us. I certainly don't blame you for feeling like that, and like I said in my previous post, you will certainly come back swinging as well.

Exhibiting signs of a small club syndrome:

SCS is a disorder that distorts an arse fans perception of their club. SCS can trigger anxiety and hate about MCFC in a person.

Arsenal fans with SCS feel shame and anxiety about their club size. They may mistakenly believe that they support a BIG club, even when the facts show they can’t win a premier league and have never won a champions league.

Stay erm small time, arseholes.

Leave winning the BIG trophies to a truly massive club.

Soft cunts.

They certainly hide behind the charges, the charges they lobbied to be laid which won’t be around very long.

You’ve nailed the points though ;)

Was it five or six consecutive League doubles over cheating Arsenal in recent seasons that Drury mentioned on Sunday?

Because it doesn’t fit with the narrative that we have no history, once you start mentioning history and trophies with City its fingers in ears type responses from the masses who hold on to every word that is written or talked about by the media..

I honestly think if they win tonight then they'll go on and win the league.

Everyone's beaten us so far so it's not a great indicator of things. Either it gave them a good confidence boost or they're just overemotional.

They’ve got a chance tonight as Newcastle have gone off the boil, but not sure winning a cup semi final will propel them to the league title.

The dippers could do the same tomorrow night.

A few years ago, a Littlewoods fan, who really is an imbecile, when it comes to football, came out with the "No istree?" shit.

I pointed out to him that City won the FA Cup, the League Cup and a European trophy before his lot did.

The next time he saw me, he said he’d looked up what I’d told him, and I was right.

"I know I am," was my only response.
