President Trump

Bullshit.

Get your facts right.

The rest of that post is so pathetic it doesn't deserve a response
Look it up and again you clearly cannot prosecute an argument effectively hence you resort to words like pathetic and not deserving a response other than actually responding by saying as much , now that is bordering on meaningless and a waste of your time which you seem to enjoy doing for some reason.

Lets summarize , climate change is real , the climate , like the weather is constantly changing , how to best respond to it needs proper analysis and debate including posing the argument that coal and gas is the quickest way to bring developing nations out of poverty if the developed world in conjunction with the developing has the will to do so.

Personally I like nuclear , because its clean , green , eventually cheaper and much more reliable than renewables but we shall always have a need for Carbo Hydrons and for good reason that go beyond the narrow climate change discussion.

You cannot begin to prosecute a case for one path or another without looking at the economics , politics , social and scientific aspects of what can be achieved and how its likely to change the world for the better or not as the case may be.

I guess y
how about stop repeatedly showing your ignorance and either admit you were wrong or provide an actual source for your completely false claim that Australia is

" the highest taxed per capita country in the world"
I guess that's a I don't know then.

The rise in the average overall temperature of the planet since the industrial revolution is undeniable. The reasons behind that are not fully understood, but all the data point towards manmade sources.

Nuclear, whilst a better option isn't an instantaneous solution. Nuclear power stations take upwards of 20 years from lying the foundations to full operating capability, and twice as long to decommission once they reach the end of their useful lives.

I agree with your sentiment entirely TMT and with respect to some others you would hard pressed to find a fair minded climate scientist , geologist ( IMO the best credentialed scientists to explore and explain the wonders of the earth and the impacts of man on the temperature of the earth at least as far as history is concerned and its impacts on what it to come ) , astrophysicist and other scientists that have a role to play in the debate that could reasonably refute outright what you have put forward.

I believe nuclear is the better long term option because despite the initial outlay plants are being built in less than 10 years now as the UAE demonstrated albeit servicing a relatively small population , they are much less intrusive on the environment and take up much less space to provide the same but importantly far more reliable electricity production than wind turbines and solar panels which are far more susceptible to weather events , have at least currently much smaller shelf lives and have little material that can be recycled and don't start me on battery storage and will at least for the next century or two until better technology is developed need gas firming and thousands of kms of transmission lines to connect to the grid for powering large townships and cities.

In short they currently as least are not much chop when the wind doesn't blow and the sun doesn't shine and in fact potentially quite dangerous when the wind blows too hard.

Hydro would be a great back up but not every country in the world has the terrain to achieve this and again the energy generated by fission and into the future fusion knows no equal in density and how to move electrons very fast.

I believe this data is confined to income tax and payroll tax but you can correct me if I am wrong.
Mate, all you’re doing is not accepting any data that you don’t agree with and aren’t willing to put your own up for others to scrutinise.

Google it, and they do and come back with not your figures and you’re just saying Google it again.

It’ll be a long night for you if you have to respond to not recognise figures put up each time!

Fellow loyal American citizens - today I'm pleased to announce that Bluemoon Forum has agreed to cease all fentanyl imports into our great nation. Furthermore, Bluemoon has promised that all American ships passing through the Bluemoon canal on their way to Europe, will pass free of charge.

Due to these concessions, I am placing the 20% tariff on Bluemoon goods imported to the USA on a temporary pause.

Efforts continue, however, to deport all Bluemoon criminals from our land. To that end, I've now signed an executive order to activate all state militias to cooperate in expelling the Bluemoon criminal element from our sacred land.
Bluemoon Criminals.

Great name for a band.

Or a legal practise.

International Criminal Courts yesterday , today him and his dickhead pal Musk have shut down the worlds biggest aid programme US Aid.
And in developing news, he is set to ban paper drinking straws as “they just don’t work” and will be ordering that plastic straws be reintroduced.

Jeez, he’s only been President for a few weeks - we’ve got four years of this madness to look forward to.

He should bring back 4* petrol next. The smell of it was amazing.

Then CFCs.

If you read past the first few sections you’d find the section where VAT is included. It makes little difference to the rankings.
Your correct.

in OZ we also pay land tax on a second property and beyond , duties / excise on beer , fuel and cigarettes , stamp duty on all insurance , local council taxes , congestion tax , road tax, registration and the list goes on.

Our land tax on a property valued unimproved at 2.0m is currently $15,150 which is just over the average price for a vacant block of land in the suburb I live.

I never disputed nor didn't accept the tax burden data placed up much later in the exchange nor the GDP data referred to at the start of the exchange so your premise in the first part of line one is off the mark and I do recognize them as such for what they portray.

We will drain the swamp. We will reduce government wasteful spending. Make the American government responsive to its citizens.

There oys no world in which anyone who has ever listened to anything he or anyone on his campaign has said, can come to the conclusion he didn't promise to do this. You are just lying to yourself.

The Agency for International Development is mostly America soft power tool. Even some of the most ardent supporters of curbing waste and reorganize the government, are s bit worried about this. Not because what he is doing is wrong, but rather because US A.I.D is to some extent a CIA front and America uses it both openly and sometimes nefariously, to interfere with foreign governments.

The truth is no American government (left or right) wants to erase America's capacity to meddle in the affairs of other nations. Yet, this government thinks it is worth examining the waste and other shenanigans going on here.

I am a unsurprised that so many who whine about America's imperialism, show so little interest in the wasteful spending and (bordering on illegal) governmental activities going on and through US A I D.

Like I have been saying for too long now, this is simply more evidence of the team sports mentality.

Sports team mentality?

"You can play with the offside rule, we're not bothered with that woke radical left nonsense."

"Off that podium, we're taking that gold."

Which roughly translates as "Yes, I was completely wrong, but no, I'm absolutely not going to admit it"

Not really sure what point you’re trying to make. Every one of those taxes are applied in the UK and probably most western countries. As for the land tax example you gave, it looks like it only applies to a small number of people so it has no relevance to the discussion about overall tax take.
