PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The problem is, if we ARE now found guilty after top level club representatives have repeatedly told us we haven't done anything wrong for Years, there are going to be a lot of pretty pissed off fans, I include myself in that to be totally honest, sport is sport, I don't condone cheating in it.

I still believe we've done nothing wrong so I'm not overly worried.

I think the key will be in the detail, wrong and right can be pretty grey. So I would say read the judgment as someone else’s wrong is someone else’s advice has been we were allowed to do.

However, I’m no expert on this but understand that the charge is fraud, so a guilty verdict could be a disguised equity funding and pretty clear they did, in which case you have a point.

I would say it is unlikely whatever verdict we will back down, we will be vindicated, appeal or maintain our innocence but want to draw a line under it.

The truth is in the detail and between the lines.

It literally shocks me (and my brother is one of them) that City fans believe what the media say about City. The brain washing power of our media... It scares me how people are so gullible.
The point has often been made that in over two years of this case rumbling on, not a single journalist has ever done a piece along the lines of "what if City aren't guilty?"

Which is actually quite an important issue. Will the analysis be "okay they aren't guilty but the PL were well within their rights to go after them?" Will it be "City got off on a technicality?" Will it be "The PL is not fit for purpose?"

There are a whole host of possible avenues, and journalists with a professional obligation to investigate have so far done no such thing.

Draw your own conclusions from that.

I personally think from the "sentence" quote that there is a points deduction, not relegated, possibly transfer ban (1 or 2 year). Top 4 probably irrelevant this season and a year out of Champions League can be withstood financially. Club World Cup money, which is rarely mentioned, will help support finances in this short term time period.
Priority for the club therefore is gaining money through Champions League and Club World Cup this season. Need best possible finish in both and maintain Premier League position so that points deduction avoids relegation. If verdict avoids potential for other clubs to take legal action against City for lost revenue over past seasons, the club can move on and the future looks positive. The Real Madrid game therefore is key to maintaining financial stability in the short term and Pep will see this as a defining moment for his legacy at the club, with the potential to keep City in the best possible financial position to compete in the future.
So, what exactly are you basing this all on?

The club will know the outcome by now, guaranteed
We have been told many times that nobody knows other than the panel. All people can have is a rough idea.

With CAS City had zero idea until the ruling itself was out.

I think Slbsn has said this many many times.

City seem confident but it’s no guarantee.

People are reading too much into little things because they want to know now. Human nature.

Got a feeling Pep definitely knows.

If he does know … “In one month I think there will be a verdict and a sentence

Very few are changing their mind on our guilt whatever the verdict so if anyone currently thinks we guilty that word is getting seized upon.

If peps been told its being released in a month then the outcome has been decided and both parties will have been informed of the findings? I might be wrong but I'd imagine the findings and rulings will run into hundreds of pages and will need to be written checked edited checked again which is why it will be a month before being published??? Just wonder if any leaks will come out??

It's quite personal to me. Iv lost family members that died but knowing if all the stuff printed about City was true or not. They weren't actually able to fully enjoy what their club did.
Iv had personal threats from opposition fans just because of the media triggered shit.

If it turns out this has been a witch hunt, a politically motivated action, enabled and encouraged by the media. I think there will be a lot of anger from City fans towards certain journalists and publications.

Listening to keown on the city game, he talks about how good it is without VAR (foul on a city player). Or how it isn't "fair" that their goal goes down as an own goal.

It really makes you aware of how rules and laws mean nothing to these people when it comes to the jealousy and hatred for City.

He always seems to mention sentence to do with the charges.
Maybe it's lost in translation on pep's part.

He is an absolute dickhead.

He’s been practising his speech instead of working with the squad ;)
Pep: I thought we played a very good game. Khaldoon was at the heart of everything we did. I’m glad I gave him minutes. Now we prepare for the repeal of the rules. Pannick will be back in the team. Too many cases, we have to be in court three times a week. 115? No bother.
