20-years-old.
I remember last season, and many have forgotten, how poster after poster called for him to replace Walker because he was, for some time, significantly better, especially moving into midfield and even the attacking areas of the pitch. Now, for reasons unbeknown to me, in a team filled with underperforming players through injury, illness, and absence, he is the one singled out by so many whom, in my view, should know better and should remember that he is, as yet, a prospect making his way in the professional game at the absolute elite level. Good luck, Rico, and thanks for your contribution thus far.
It's because one poster will slag a player, a couple agree, a few more agree....and it snowballs into a scapegoat. .....and here we've been, all along, with all the Lewis 'haters' wanting the 'invisible man' McAtee, more minutes....it's comical.

All have read majority of posters say they don't rate him, I haven't once seen a page full of remarks claiming he's better than Walker.

Now I have seen page after page of posters saying we need to replace Walker but that isn't the same thing.

He did ok overall but I thought Orient targeted him, particularly in the first half hour or so when I thought he struggled a bit because they were playing balls over the top and Lewis was caught upfield without the pace to recover quickly.

I doubt he will be anywhere near the starting lineup on Tuesday.

He looks fine when not defending so not great for a full back
The 2 half’s was the contrast laid bare

Then you did not properly read last season's threads.

A decent back-up option for midfield and RB. A good utility, squad player.

I find it hard to see that he'll ever really be a regular starter for a top side though.

A steady game for Rico yesterday. Taking him out of the firing line over the past few weeks has hopefully helped him to regain his confidence a little. He looked more self assured and he wasn’t throwing himself to the ground any time a player got anywhere near him. I assume the coaches have spoken to him about this which will help his development.
There’s definitely a player in there, hopefully he kicks on and continues to improve and could then be an important squad player. Time will tell.

The first game he has started where he hasn’t been atrocious in a while tbh, probably since Slavia Prague, maybe that’s his level? Keep him away from the starting line up and we’ll get in the top 4. Rico has had all time level stinkers this season, the worst I’ve seen at this club in a long time. Those fans who want him to start in the League or in the UCL from now on, you guys are the problem. For me he is a squad player, who is actually extremely lucky to even be a squad player, he would barely be a squad player at Everton. You “fans” who criticise our aging legends like Gundogan, KDB, Stones and Bernardo any fucking chance you get, but don’t utter a word about this Lad disgust me tbh, but that’s the world we live in.

Wont be a popular opinion but for me a better option at right back than Nunes, also i would have made Walker stay until the summer particularly for games like Wednesday night.

I'll have to challenge you on that. People who are willing to abuse Rico while keeping quiet about some of the others are the ones I can't stand. Yes, his levels have dropped from last season, but he's been no worse than many other players, and assuming we'll finish in the top four if he doesn't play is absurd. Are we holding him responsible for the Arsenal debacle last week?

The vitriol he has received is horrible; I would have expected us to unite behind one of our own, but as a fanbase, we have thrown him under the bus. What pampered entitled twats some of us have become.

Every time I see Lewis take the field - if we're not up by 3 goals with less than 10 minutes on the clock - I'm like... "Oh shit! No, No, NOOO!"

Not a fan of Lewis at all. Can't defend. And when pressed, gives the ball away far too easily.

He's young - and may improve. But with any luck, he'll be used as a squad player/substitute for now until/unless he substantially ups his game. There's a reason why Nunes is starting ahead of him lately.

He did okay yesterday, but he will never be a starter for us in any position, and I highly doubt he will be here post-Pep.

He is not receiving any more hate than any other player not playing well. He has been one of our weakest links, if not the weakest, from the starting players. When he wasn't playing, people weren't criticising him.

Another matter to consider is that the likes of Gundo already had a fantastic career, and they are simply in decline. Calling him not good enough is not hateful. I don't think anyone is calling him any names, or attacks him as a person.

I think people saying he receives hate are doing so because they don't agree with the criticism. It's not hate to call out that we can't build our future team based on players like Rico, that's all.

I wish him all the best, but he is a backup of a backup for any position here. 80 or so games for us, I think it's enough for anyone to assess him. Unless he suddenly improves dramatically, his status here won't change.

edit: Nunes has been receiving substantially more "hate", people calling him "brainless" or worse.
