That's the thing though, the Gash doesn't do 'well' because it's beyond him. He's an overhyped product from the academy of overhyped products - like Beckscum before him. A moderately decent player, nothing to shout about, but he plays for the rags so maximize the publicity, put your PR into overdrive, give him the whole Hollywood treatment and reap the benefits. Within a year or two he'll be plying his trade at Hartlepool and a new 'superstar' will be replacing him.

Colin Wanker was on 5 live this morning reviewing this weekend's FA Cup games and he was asked if he preferred football with or without VAR
He said ""without" but then went on to criticise some of this weekend's howlers from officials, and was particularly scathing of the ref's assistant for not seeing four rag players offside
He then said, "back in the day when I was Sheffield utd manager, we played at OT and (he named a player of his) burst through on goal and was hacked down by a rag centre half. A more blatant pen and red card you will ever see"
Rob Stiles was the ref and he waved play on
After the game, Warnock visited bacon face in his office, spoke of the incident and old rasher chops said " yeh never get those here""
