You could always wait until July and see These Smiths at the Witchwood although......
Taking the Johnny Marr role a little bit too authentically - the crash wasnt in Bowden, was it?
I wish him a speedy and quick recovery

Is the miserable **** any nearer to extracting his last album from legal red tape and releasing it yet?If it’s anything like his US prices for May then £70 to £90
This is his chance (last chance) to fill a UK arena. Keep the prices low and it will be a great night. Charge a stupid price and only rhe hardcore lunatic fans (I include myself in that list) will be there.
He bought the tapes from Capitol Records so now has complete ownership - just can’t find a record company to release them!Is the miserable **** any nearer to extracting his last album from legal red tape and releasing it yet?
With his current band, yes. Bring back Alain Whyte though...I am tempted by this but it will be shite won't it.
Surprised some fucking vulture hasn't made him an offer - the faux outrage and controversy would probably be enough to make it a good investment. I suppose record companies are terrified of being cancelled by the wokerati that have convinced themselves that mozza is a sort of singing Adolf Eichmann. He bought the tapes from Capitol Records so now has complete ownership - just can’t find a record company to release them!
I think Alain setting up his tribute band of former band members last year has put paid to that happening again. With his current band, yes. Bring back Alain Whyte though...
What I can’t understand is he signs for these records companies and departs from them quicker than a manager at the swamp departs - the bloke is a multi, multi millionaire- just fucking start your own record company up and make the bloody record yourself. Or does he always need someone else to blame when the sales are poor…..Surprised some fucking vulture hasn't made him an offer - the faux outrage and controversy would probably be enough to make it a good investment. Absolutely. It's all streaming rather than physical sales now so it's not like distribution matters. He did have a thing for trying to breath life into old labels. What I can’t understand is he signs for these records companies and departs from them quicker than a manager at the swamp departs - the bloke is a multi, multi millionaire- just fucking start your own record company up and make the bloody record yourself. Ha ha. Yeah. This latest setlist seems to be one that is very rigid. So same as usual then!
Remember him headlining Glastonbury and opening with “Don’t make fun of daddy’s voice” lol
The face on the audience ha ha
Castlefield. Was is last time he tried to tour that Dave Haslam embarked on some weird crusade against him and he ended up cancelling his gigs?
Castlefield.
Dave Haslam organising an anti Moz disco or some other bollocks in a bar on Deansgate Locks at the same time of the gig.
The gig was cancelled allegedly due to poor ticket sales though the official reason was illness I think.
Hasn’t played Manchester since (I don’t think)
Maybe folk will fall for the “only date in England” tag and of course when (if) it is a sell out, he’ll then announce more dates….He played the Apollo October 2022. Went to Doncaster on the Friday, we beat united 6-3 on the Sunday then Apollo on the Tuesday - great few days. I last saw him in Dublin at Vicar Street in the summer of 2023, it was excellent.
Surprised he's playing a venue as big as the Co-Op these days, as if the last decade never happened
Yeah perhaps, I just don't think there's the hunger for it anymore - long gone are the days where you'd have to queue to get in the Star and Garter!Maybe folk will fall for the “only date in England” tag and of course when (if) it is a sell out, he’ll then announce more dates….
If he said "OK, I'll do all the hits - Smiths & solo" he'd do well, but we all know it will be "Teenage dad on his estate" and "I'll see you in far off places" ha haYeah perhaps, I just don't think there's the hunger for it anymore - long gone are the days where you'd have to queue to get in the Star and Garter!
