Pairing Dias with Reis and stones with kushanov is a very smart decision that will pay off in the long run
Nah.You've been wrong all season then.
Explain please???You've been wrong all season then.
He is but his claim we played well was a tad hopeful.Anyone watch the post match presser?
If you are wobbling about pep (and I am) go watch it.
It's endearing.
The guy loved everything about the Cup round. He's an absolute soccer obsessive.
If you take the emotion and hubris out of the game, from his perspective we kept the ball very well, we created lots of good to great chances, and we defended the transitions pretty well. And we did this with a team of players returning from injury, new to the team, or from the academy. We swapped half our backline at half time.He is but is claim we played well was a hopeful.
We were playing a league 1 side . Another poor performance let's be honest about it.If you take the emotion and hubris out of the game, from his perspective we kept the ball very well, we created lots of good to great chances, and we defended the transitions pretty well. My view is that it wasn't the best, let's see how we do this week.If you take the emotion and hubris out of the game, from his perspective we kept the ball very well, we created lots of good to great chances, and we defended the transitions pretty well. Wasn't the best is a level headed summary of the game and season :)My view is that it wasn't the best, let's see how we do this week.
It's a growing trend outside the club. Some of course have never given Pep the credit he fully deserves. I just read an article I think originating on Talkshite which suggests that Pep should get the chop if this poor run continues. In particular elimination at the hands of Madrid should be terminal. The argument appears to be that form like this season, even considering mitigating circumstances, would result in the sack at any other big European club. You said:

"The world has caught up"
"Everyone runs out of steam eventually"
I can fkn read and you're writing him off.
Pep would walk before he was sacked. There is no circumstance that he will be ‘chopped’.It's a growing trend outside the club. Some of course have never given Pep the credit he fully deserves. Most City fans and its appears the owners remain loyal to Pep so he is safe most likely for this season. He deserves and he will get time to turn things around. However, should we be in the same position this time next year I am not sure everybody will be so forgiving. Interesting times ahead..
I agree with most of your post. We should be loyal to the man that has given us so much and I think the owners will be long term as well. Pep has earned the right to rebuild this side, surely. The likes of Adrian Durham saying Pep would have gone from any other top European club is just ridiculous and designed to get people ringing in to Talkshite, don't fall for it Blues. He says that top clubs don't struggle like City have this season and presumably in his tiny mind he believes united to be a top club so what is his excuse for them since slur Alex retired, same goes for chelsea and at times Liverpool under Klopp, where I don't remember anybody on their stupid station calling for his head when they were getting smashed a few seasons ago after their covid title win. Double standards again always one rule for City and different rules for the likes of Liverpool and ushited. The agenda is clear, they smell blood and want the greatest coach of all time out of City. City fans shouldn't fuel their agenda by giving their argument oxygen. It's a growing trend outside the club. Some of course have never given Pep the credit he fully deserves. What is he supposed to do about unbelievable individual errors every game?
