Brilliant 80, really struggled late on

Personally I thought he struggled early on too! First 15 mins. He was good the bit in between that and the last 10 though.

Please stay fit for the rest of the season. I would play a double pivot of Stones and Nico G against Newcastle. Only way to win the midfield battle vs Tonali, Joelinton and Bruno G

Throw in the other Nico and make it a triple pivot.

I'm not even sure Newcastle has the physicality to beat that

There is 0% chance Ederson would have saved it. His shot stopping has been quite good for the past 1.5 seasons, but he’s terrible on pens

I think those 3 are pretty good passers in terms of spottings runs behind or playing to a player between the lines.

If we can keep our other defenders fit for the rest of the season, play him in midfield with and rotate with Nico behind Marmoush/Bernardo/Grealish. Get some more energy in the middle and allows us to look forward to life without Kova, Gundo and de Bruyne who need to go out to pasture.
